Proper seed preparation can significantly increase crop yields. It's advisable to use specialized fungicides—seed treatments. Shansil Trio is used to treat cereal seeds, protecting seedlings from various fungal diseases and boosting plant immunity.
What is included in the composition and dosage form
The fungicide is produced as a concentrated suspension. The product's combined action is due to the presence of three active ingredients:
- thiabendazole (60 g/l) is effective against storage diseases and lag rot;
- Tebuconazole (60 g/l) has a broad spectrum of action (exhibits therapeutic, eradicating and protective properties);
- Imazalil (40 g/l) exhibits high activity in the fight against fusarium and helminthosporium rot of grains.
The substance is sold in 5-liter plastic canisters.
Mechanism of action
The fungicide "Shansil Trio" is a multi-component one, which determines the complex action of the suspension on diseases:
- inhibits sterol biosynthesis in the cells of phytopathogens;
- The biosynthesis of ergosterol in the cell membranes of phytopathogens is suppressed.
The biosynthesis of nucleic acids DNA and RNA also stops, and the respiratory process in mold cells is suppressed.

Purpose
Shansil Trio is primarily used as a seed treatment for planting material. This treatment protects not only the seeds but also the seedlings from various diseases:
- snow mold and root rot;
- seed mold;
- smut, dusty, hard;
- powdery mildew;
- net spot and red-brown.
Pre-sowing seed treatment increases the resistance of grain crops to adverse weather conditions (sharp temperature drops, dry periods).

Calculation of consumption and rules of use
To ensure the effectiveness of the drug, it is important to follow the consumption rates and rules for using the working solution:
| Name of the plant crop | Consumption rates, l/g | Type of disease | Features of application |
| Winter wheat | 0.40 | grain mold, septoria, loose and hard smut, root rot | seeds are treated before sowing or in advance |
| Spring wheat | 0.40-0.51 | loose smut | |
| 0.41 | Septoria, common smut, fusarium, seed mold | ||
| Spring barley | 0.5 | false smut | |
| 0.45-0.5 | grain mold, net spot, stone smut, fusarium, root rot | ||
| Winter barley | 0.40 | net spot, stone smut, root rot | |
| Winter rye | 0.40 | stem smut, seed mold, snow rot |
Precautionary measures
Shansil Trio is classified as a Class 2 hazard to humans. When handling the prepared solution, the following precautions should be observed:
- the treatment is carried out using personal protective equipment (special clothing, respirator, safety glasses, rubber gloves and shoes);
- During the work, eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed.
In the premises where grain treatment and storage is carried out, it is prohibited to carry out other work.
How and how long can it be stored?
Do not store food products, animal feed, and the fungicide "Shansil Trio" in the same room. Warehouses where treated grain is treated and stored must be equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation. Failure to ensure proper storage conditions for sprayed grain may result in mutations.

What to replace it with
Other preparations with similar qualities can be used for pre-sowing seed treatment.
- The active ingredients in the seed treatment "Delit Pro" disrupt the energy exchange in fungal cells, leading to the death of pathogens during seed germination. By treating the seed, infections present on the surface of the grains are destroyed.
- The systemic fungicide "Lamador Pro" is used to treat seeds of oats, winter rye, spring and winter wheat, and spring and winter barley. The active ingredients also protect the seeds from soil-borne infections.

Pre-sowing grain treatment helps destroy most fungal pathogens. To maintain effectiveness, it's important to ensure the quality of the spraying. However, do not exceed the recommended application rate, as higher doses can delay seed germination.
