Instructions for use of the fungicide Shirma and the composition of the drug, analogues

Manufacturers offer a wide range of pesticides to combat fungal infections of cultivated plants. The advantages of the fungicide "Shirma" include: effective plant protection against pathogens, can be used throughout the growing season, is washable, non-phytotoxic, and prevents the spread of fungal diseases.

Composition and dosage form

This contact fungicide is available as a concentrated emulsion. The active ingredient is fluazinam (500 g/l), which effectively kills spores of late blight, scab, and black spot. Notably, fluazinam also actively combats infection sources and provides long-lasting protection to plants. The fungicide is sold in five-liter containers.

Operating principle

The product works by inhibiting the respiration of fungal spores and stopping energy exchange within the cells. This reduces spore motility, preventing the spread of the pathogen throughout the plant's systems. The fungicide can be used throughout the entire growing season.

Purpose

The fungicide "Shirma" successfully combats various fungal diseases. The working solution is most often used for the following purposes:

  • protection of potato sprouts from soil infections and prevention of possible contamination;
  • prevention of the spread of infectious pathologies, protection of tops and tubers from infection by late blight;
  • protecting apple trees from scab, preventing the spread of the disease;
  • protection of grapevines from black spot and mildew.

The advantage of the fungicide is its resistance to washing away by precipitation.

Calculation of consumption

The effectiveness of the product depends on weather conditions and the application rate of the suspension. Therefore, it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Processing object Type of disease Consumption rates Features of application
Grape mildew, black spot 0.55-0.75 The first spraying is done for preventative purposes. To further combat diseases, the plants are treated every one and a half to two weeks.
Apple scab 0.5-0.75 The first spraying is done during the pink bud stage. Throughout the season, trees are sprayed at intervals of 7-10 days.
Potato late blight 0.35-0.40 The first treatment is carried out at the row closing stage. During the season, the beds are sprayed at intervals of 7-10 days.

The fungicide is resistant to washout by precipitation. Therefore, the active ingredient remains active even after rain or regular watering.

Analogues

Various pesticides are used to protect crops from pathogens. Several products containing fluazinam as the active ingredient are popular.

  • The contact fungicide "Shirlan" protects potato crops from late blight, keeping seedlings healthy. This protection persists despite precipitation and irrigation. Regular treatment reduces the risk of secondary infection.
  • The combined product "Inside" is used to treat potato, onion, and grape crops. Regular spraying helps protect plants from fungal diseases. The product quickly stops the development of diseases and provides long-lasting protection (lasting 10-15 days).
  • The fungicide "Zummer" provides reliable protection against fungal pathogens. Its advantages include a wide application window, non-phytotoxicity, long-lasting protection that prevents recurrence of fungal infections, low application rates, and increased yield and fruit quality.

The pesticide "Shirma" exhibits both protective and preventative properties when applied to plants. For effective spraying, it is necessary to adhere to the recommended suspension application rates and application guidelines.
