Selective herbicides help protect cereal crops from perennial and annual weeds. Agrostar is used to spray wheat, barley (winter and spring), and sunflower crops. The herbicide solution, when applied to the weed leaves, spreads throughout the plant, also destroying its root system. Remarkably, complete weed death occurs within 2-4 weeks.
What is included in the composition and existing forms of release
The product is available as water-soluble granules packaged in 0.5 kg plastic bottles. The active ingredient is tribenuron-methyl, which helps kill common weeds. Agrostar herbicide is characterized by high biological activity.
Timely use of the product helps preserve and increase yields. The herbicide's advantages also include its environmental safety and low toxicity to animals.
Operating principle and purpose
Treating weeds with a herbicide solution helps destroy them by regulating growth processes in tissues, which disrupts nucleic acid metabolism and stops protein synthesis.

Instructions for use
To effectively get rid of weeds, you must follow the manufacturer's recommendations when processing and preparing the working solution.
| Name of plants | Consumption rates | Type of weeds | Features of use |
| Spring wheat/barley | 0.015-0.02 | dicotyledonous annuals | spraying at an early stage of weed growth (in the tillering phase of cereals) |
| Winter barley/wheat | 0.02-0.025 | annual dicotyledons | spring treatment at an early stage of weed growth |
| Sunflower | 0.025 | annual dicotyledons and some perennials | spraying weeds at an early stage of growth (2-4 leaf phase) |
It is not recommended to spray crops covered in dew or wet after rain. It is advisable to refrain from spraying if precipitation is expected within the next 3-4 hours.

Precautionary measures
The herbicide is classified as hazard class 3 for humans and bees. However, certain rules must be followed when using the product:
- prepare a working solution and spray using personal protective equipment (clothing, respirator, safety glasses, rubber gloves);
- During the process of spraying the working solution, it is not allowed to drink, smoke, or eat;
- Spraying is carried out in calm weather, in the morning or evening hours.
To prepare the working solution, dissolve the required amount of granules in a small amount of water. Then pour the concentrated solution into a tank, fill it completely with water, and stir constantly.

Is compatibility possible?
Modern crop cultivation technologies involve treating fields with mixtures of various products. This not only simplifies plant care but also expands the range of effects of the products.
How and how long can it be stored?
It is recommended to store the product in a dry, ventilated area that does not contain food or animal feed. The product has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture. Ideally, store it in a tightly sealed original packaging at a temperature between -20°C and +30°C.

Analogues
Herbicides with different mechanisms of action are used to control weeds. Gersotil stops weed growth within 2-3 hours of application, with plant death observed within 2-3 weeks. Artstar herbicide inhibits weed cell division, causing weed death within 7-14 days.
Agrostar herbicide has a low application rate and decomposes quickly in the soil. It can be used as a base for various tank mixes. However, it is recommended to alternate the use of herbicides from different chemical groups to prevent the emergence of resistant weeds.
