To protect plants from diseases, it's advisable to use fungicides that also exhibit therapeutic and preventative properties. Efatol helps control the emergence and spread of fungal plant diseases in various climatic conditions. It provides long-lasting protection, is non-phytotoxic, and does not induce resistance.
What is included in the composition and existing forms of release
The fungicide "Efatol" exhibits protective properties and is also used for preventative purposes. The active ingredient is fosetyl aluminum (800 g/kg), which is used to protect and treat grapes, vegetable and industrial crops, and pome fruits from various diseases.
The product is available as a wettable powder. It dissolves poorly in organic solvents and is easily diluted with water. Moreover, the working solution remains stable for approximately 100 days when stored at approximately 20°C. Efatol fungicide is sold in polyethylene bags (1 kg and 2.5 kg) and 10 kg sacks.
Speed and operating principle
This systemic fungicide is rapidly absorbed by plants. Distributed throughout the plant's systems, the active ingredient enhances plant defenses against fungal diseases. Under the influence of Efatol, plants produce phenolic compounds that prevent pathogenic fungi from penetrating tissue. When using this product, keep in mind its limited effectiveness against late blight of tomatoes and potatoes.
Infection suppression occurs immediately after spraying the plants (within 20-30 minutes).
The duration of the protective effect is 12-18 days (the period is determined by weather conditions and the type of crops).
Purpose
The fungicide "Efatol" is recommended primarily for use on grapes. Fosetil aluminum is effective against mildew and powdery mildew of grapes. However, the working solution can also be used to protect various agricultural crops from fungal diseases, including fruit trees (peaches, cherries, pears, and apples), cucumber beds, onions, and strawberries.

Calculation of consumption and rules of use
To ensure effectiveness, it is important to adhere to the dosage guidelines and take into account the specifics of use.
| Cultivated plant crop | Consumption rates (g/liter of water) | Type of disease | Features of application |
| Grape | 2.5 | Mildew, black spot | Spray at the stage of inflorescence formation and at the stage of berry setting (keep an interval of 12-14 days) |
| Cucumber, onion | 0.50-0.80 | downy mildew | during the growing season |
| Strawberries | 2.0 | late blight of fruits | |
| Fruit trees (apple, cherry, pear, peach) | 3.0 | Phytophthora root collar rot |
Spraying is best done in the morning or evening. Optimal wind speed is 3-5 m/s. Two to three sprayings per crop are permitted per season.

Precautionary measures
The product is considered moderately toxic. However, when using the fungicide, it is important to follow safety precautions:
- When spraying, use personal safety equipment (safety glasses, respirator, rubber gloves, special clothing);
- work is carried out in windless, dry weather;
- During work, it is prohibited to drink, smoke, eat, or remove personal protective equipment.
Spraying large areas using aircraft is permitted. However, the product is not permitted for use in water protection zones of bodies of water.

Is compatibility possible?
The manufacturer declares the compatibility of the fungicide "Efatol" with other pesticides that exhibit a neutral chemical reaction. When preparing tank mixtures, preliminary testing is essential. The main challenge when preparing tank mixtures is the varying application times of the mixture's components.
If mixing results in precipitation or the liquid heating up, resulting in a non-uniform mixture (separation, foaming, or flocculation), these products should not be combined. However, it's important to keep in mind that water quality also affects the results (water from reservoirs may contain silt, which can promote precipitation).

How and how long can it be stored?
The product can be stored for 2 years from the date of manufacture. It is recommended to store the wettable powder in a tightly sealed container (labeled). The recommended storage temperature is 0°C to +35°C.
A separate, well-ventilated, dry room is designated for storage. Do not store fungicides, animal feed, or food products together.

Analogues
To protect plant crops from fungal plants, you can use various preparations whose active ingredient is fosetyl aluminum.
- The fungicide "Fosetil" quickly penetrates plants, providing protective, therapeutic, and preventative effects. It is also effective when applied to young shoots. It is used to combat mildew on grapevines.
- Previkur Energy is used for spraying growing crops; soil application of the working solution is also possible. It is effective against a wide range of harmful fungi, completely suppressing pathogenic microflora in plants and soil.
Unfavorable weather conditions significantly complicate crop cultivation and reduce yields. Fungicides simplify crop care and help increase yields. Efatol is a preferred option, as it not only helps protect plants from fungal diseases but also exhibits therapeutic and preventative effects.
