Products with a broad spectrum of effects on plants are always popular. "Lost" is a combined herbicide and desiccant. It is recommended to use this weed killer before the mass germination of cultivated crops. Weeds are also destroyed by "drying" sunflower, rapeseed, and pea crops with the desiccant.
What is included in the composition and existing forms of release
Lost is available as an aqueous solution. The active ingredient is diquat, which acts as both a herbicide and a desiccant. The solution is sold in 20-liter plastic canisters.
Purpose and mechanism of operation
Lost is a non-selective herbicide. When absorbed by green foliage, the working solution converts to hydrogen peroxide in plant tissue, damaging cell membranes. The herbicide's effects begin within two days: the weeds wilt, and the leaves and stems take on a yellowish tint. Within 7-10 days, the plants dry out and die.

Terms of Use
The "Losta" working solution is most often used to treat uneven and delayed ripening of sunflower seeds, forage seeds, and industrial crops. Because the product dries out all plant material, harmful plants are also destroyed during treatment. A specific herbicide application rate of 2 liters per hectare is used to spray all weeds.
Carrot and potato plots are treated 2-3 days before mass emergence of seedlings. Hay fields are sprayed 40-45 days before mowing. Destruction of shrubs and trees in non-forested areas is permitted. Herbicide use is prohibited during the fruiting period.

Precautionary measures
Lost is classified as a Class 3 hazard (harmful to bees and humans). However, the following precautions should be observed during use:
- Spraying of plants is carried out using personal protective equipment (respirator, safety glasses, rubber gloves and boots, special clothing);
- work is carried out in dry, windless weather;
- During the processing, do not eat, drink or smoke.
If the solution comes into contact with your skin, rinse with clean running water. If symptoms of acute poisoning appear (conjunctivitis, irritation of the respiratory mucosa, nosebleeds), seek medical attention.

Is compatibility possible?
Manufacturers allow tank mixing of Losta and other pesticides. It is recommended to test a small amount of the mixture first. Do not mix the products if a sediment forms, the liquid becomes cloudy, the color of the mixture changes, or the temperature of the liquid increases.
How and how long can it be stored?
Store the herbicide container in a separate, dry, ventilated area at a temperature of 0-30°C. Do not store Lost in the same room with food or animal feed. It is best to store the liquid in its original packaging. The herbicide has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture. Store the prepared working solution for no more than 24 hours.

Analogues
Among the herbicides-desiccants, you can choose several popular preparations containing diquat.
- Reglon Forte is characterized by its increased speed of action and quickly penetrates into plant crops.
- Registan prevents the spread of fungal diseases and is fast-acting (weeds dry out within 5-10 days after spraying). It can be applied by air.
- An aqueous solution of Expertof significantly reduces the viability of weeds. The product is also used to treat plants to prevent the emergence and spread of fungal diseases.

The effectiveness of Lost is enhanced by its herbicide and desiccant properties. Timely treatment also helps prevent the emergence and spread of fungal diseases. The solution does not accumulate in plants and disintegrates quickly, which is an advantage when spraying crops.
