Proclaim is a translaminar insecticide of natural origin. When the substance penetrates plant tissue, it forms reservoirs containing the active ingredient. This ensures its effectiveness, which is maintained even during periods of precipitation and elevated temperatures. To ensure the desired effect, Proclaim's instructions for use must be strictly followed.
Active ingredient and release form
Syngenta's product is biological in origin. It is a pesticide with stomach and contact action. It belongs to the chemical class of avermectins and biological pesticides. The active ingredient is emamectin benzoate. One liter of the product contains 50 grams of the active ingredient.
Prokleim is produced as water-soluble granules. It is sold in plastic containers containing 1 kilogram of insecticide. The packaging contains a label with product information. Instructions for use are included.
Purpose and mechanism of operation
The product is approved for use on vineyards, fruit trees, and vegetable crops. It helps control the following pests:
- cabbage moths;
- codling moths;
- cabbage moth;
- white butterflies;
- cotton bollworms;
- grape leaf rollers.
The drug's mechanism of action is linked to its effect on two sites in the insect nervous system. It binds to gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors in the synapse and glutamate H receptors in muscle cells. This causes a constant flow of chloride ions to enter the muscle cells. Consequently, they remain permanently relaxed and lose the ability to contract. Ultimately, within 1-4 hours, the insect stops moving and is unable to feed. The pest dies within 1-3 days—the exact time frame depends on its age.

The main advantages of Proclaim include the following:
- ovicidal effect – the preparation causes the death of caterpillars before they have time to enter the fruit;
- high efficiency in any weather – the product continues to work at high temperatures and with heavy precipitation;
- long period of protective action – lasts 15 days;
- selective action in relation to Lepidoptera;
- short waiting period – 5-10 days;
- absence of toxic effect when dosage is observed.
Flow calculation and instructions for use
Plants are treated with a working solution of the insecticide. It is recommended to prepare it before use. To do this, mix the required number of granules with a small amount of water, stirring constantly. Then, wait until the granules are completely dissolved and add water to obtain the required volume. It is recommended to do this with the mixer running. When planning your spraying schedule, consider the life cycles of the pests.
Dosages and instructions for use of the product are presented in the table:
| Application rate, liters per 1 hectare | Plant | Parasites | Processing rules | Waiting period (number of treatments) |
| 0.2-0.3 | White cabbage | Cabbage moth and cutworm, turnip and cabbage white butterfly | Spraying should be done during the growing season. Apply 200-300 liters of working solution per hectare. | 7 (2) |
| 0.3-0.4 | Tomatoes in open ground | Cotton bollworm
|
Treatment is carried out during the growing season. Apply 200-400 liters of working solution per hectare. | 5 (2) |
| 0.3-0.4 | Grape | Grape leaf roller | Treatment is carried out during the growing season. 600-1000 liters of working solution should be applied per hectare. | 7 (1) |
| 0.4-0.5 | Apple | Codling moth | Spraying is carried out during the growing season. The working solution consumption is 800-1500 liters per hectare. | 10 (3) |
It is recommended to treat plants in dry, windless weather. Proclaim is effective even at temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. There is no need to worry about pests becoming accustomed to the active ingredient. The last application should be 5-10 days before harvest.

Precautionary measures
The product is moderately toxic to humans, but is highly dangerous to bees. It should not be used during the flowering period. Beekeepers must be warned of this before use so they can delay the insects' flight.
Only trained personnel are permitted to handle the insecticide. They must be provided with personal protective equipment. Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited while working. If the substance comes into contact with exposed skin, rinse with copious amounts of running water. If the substance is ingested, perform a gastric lavage and seek medical attention.
What is it compatible with?
This product can be used for tank mixing. It combines well with many pesticides, except those with an alkaline reaction. It should not be mixed with aluminum-based fungicides. It also should not be combined with liquid mineral preparations. Before mixing different substances, it is important to assess their chemical and physical compatibility.

How and how long to store
The product must be stored in a sealed, factory-sealed container in designated areas. It should be kept away from food and animal feed. The product has a shelf life of 3 years.
What to replace it with
Effective analogues of the drug include the following:
- Proben;
- "Shah".
Proclaim is an effective treatment that helps combat a wide range of dangerous parasites. To ensure the product achieves its intended results, it's important to strictly follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Adherence to safety precautions is also crucial.
