"Teppeki" is a new product with significant differences from its predecessors. It successfully combats a wide range of dangerous pests, including thrips, whiteflies, and other insects. Furthermore, it does not harm crops. However, to achieve this, it is important to strictly follow the instructions for use.
Active ingredient and dosage form
Teppeki is a highly concentrated insecticide. Its active ingredient is flonicamid. Each kilogram of the product contains 500 grams of this substance.
The product is manufactured by a Polish company. It is sold as water-dispersible granules. It is available in stores in plastic containers of 0.25, 0.5, and 1 kilogram. Other packaging options are also available. It is important to note that the granules do not mix well with water. Therefore, the mixture must be thoroughly mixed before use.
Mechanism of action
Flonicamid's mechanism of action allows it to be classified as a modulator of the chordotonal organs. These are the stretch receptor organs of insects and are used to determine the position of the antennae. Stretching is detected by a special organ called the scolopidium. This organ transforms mechanical vibration into a nerve impulse and transmits it to the insect's ganglia.
The main advantages of the product include the following:
- unique mechanism of action – the composition stops parasites from feeding within half an hour after spraying;
- the absence of the risk of parasite resistance developing – this is due to the excellent principle of action of the substance;
- systemic and translaminar activity – this helps control pests that lead a hidden lifestyle and are not treated;
- long-lasting protective effect – lasts up to 1 month;
- no impact on beneficial insects and pollinators;
- low consumption rates – this helps to minimize the negative impact on the environment;
- effective control of all types of aphids;
- an excellent addition to all integrated protection schemes;
- additional control of a wide range of parasites from the order Homoptera - this concerns scale insects, whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers.
What is insecticide used for?
The product effectively controls parasites, but it works differently on each insect species. The instructions for use state that the active ingredient can completely kill aphids, whiteflies, and various types of mites. It also effectively controls thrips.

However, the substance has a different effect on leafhoppers, leafhoppers, scale insects, and cacids. While the insecticide doesn't completely eradicate these insects, it does help keep their numbers under control. The effects of Teppeka can be seen within 30 minutes of treatment. It's important to note that some of the destroyed pests may remain on the plant for up to 5 days, but they don't cause any harm.
Instructions for use
To ensure the product achieves the desired results, it's important to follow the instructions for use. However, simply adhering to the dosage is not enough. It's essential to follow the instructions for preparing the working solution and take into account the specifics of its use.
The granules should be mixed with water before application. All work should be done outdoors. First, mix the "Teppeki" with a small amount of water. This will create a liquid concentrate. Then, dilute it to the required volume.
Crop treatments are carried out early in the morning or evening. After finishing work, it is recommended to dispose of any remaining liquid. The sprayer should then be rinsed with clean water. To kill pests, it is important to prepare the working solution correctly. When doing this, consider the pests to be controlled:
- To get rid of whiteflies, it is recommended to use 1 gram of granules per 1-7 liters of water. The exact amount depends on the type of plant being treated. Typically, one treatment is sufficient to completely eliminate the pests.
- To kill thrips, a solution with a concentration of 0.05% is required. To do this, use 500 grams of the solution per 1,000 liters of water.
- To combat mealybugs, it's best to use a comprehensive approach. First, use Confidor. To do this, add 1 gram of the product to 1 liter of water. Additionally, use Apluad. After a week, you can use Teppeki. To do this, prepare a working solution of 1 gram of the product to 1 liter of water. After three weeks, water the beds a third time. Use Confidor again for this.

Precautionary measures
"Teppeki" is classified as a hazard class 3 insecticide. The insecticide is considered safe for bees, humans, and the environment. This is due to the low concentration of the active ingredient in the prepared solution.
To prevent harm to the body, it is recommended to use personal protective equipment. Gloves should be worn when preparing the solution. When spraying individual crops or small beds, goggles and a respirator should be worn. When spraying larger plantings, protective clothing is recommended.
What is it compatible with?
For combination treatments, Teppeki is mixed with other copper- and alkali-free pesticides. If information on the composition of another pesticide is unavailable, compatibility can be assessed experimentally.

To do this, pour 50 milliliters of each component into a plastic or glass container. If there are no chemical reactions such as sediment, bubbles, or color changes, the mixture is ready to use.
How and how long to store
It is recommended to store the product in an airtight container in a dry, dark place. Keep the insecticide out of reach of children. Store at a temperature of 15-35 degrees Celsius.
What to replace it with
The following medications are considered effective analogues of the drug:
- "Voliam Flexi";
- "Mospilan";
- "Avant".
"Teppeki" is an effective product that helps control a wide range of pests. To achieve the desired results, it's important to follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
