Plants are exposed to various adverse factors during the growing season. Thanks to Epin, plants actively resist diseases and pests. Under its influence, plants develop a strong immune system. The product does not pollute the environment and is non-toxic to animals and beneficial insects.

What is included in the composition and existing forms of release

The active ingredient of the drug is epinbrassinolide, a synthetic phytohormone. This chemical compound helps increase crop yields.

It is recommended to use this product on plants before and after flowering, when sensitivity to hormones increases. Epin Extra is available in 1 ml and 2 ml capsules.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any growth stimulant, Epin has both positive and negative qualities. Its advantages:

• increases resistance to adverse weather conditions;
• promotes the development of the root system;
• activates the work of phytohormones;
• reduces the shedding of flowers, ovaries, and fruits;
• contributes to improving the quality of the harvest.

On the downside, it should be noted that this product is not a medicine and is not used to treat diseases or control pests. It's also important to note that boiled or filtered water (with a pH below 7.0) is used to dilute the product.

Mechanism of operation and purpose

When applied to plants, Epin activates various plant phytohormones, which helps boost immunity. The active ingredient is effective against cruciferous, nightshade, legume, and cucurbit crops. The solution can be used for spraying both agricultural crops and ornamental plants and houseplants.

We use it for vegetables

When treating beds, it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding consumption rates and the specifics of using the growth stimulator.

For eggplants and radishes

Pre-sowing and pre-planting treatment of seedlings with a growth stimulant is practiced. For soaking, prepare a working solution: dissolve 1-2 drops of the product in 100 ml of water. Soak the eggplant seeds in the warm solution (15-20°C) for 2.5-3 hours.

When growing radishes, spraying the seedlings is common. It's recommended to treat the beds when the first true leaves appear. The working solution concentration is 5-6 drops per 0.5 liters of water.

For onion sets

When growing onions, the seeds are first treated. The sets are soaked in a solution (1 ml of the preparation is diluted in 2 liters) for 25-30 minutes.

Spray the seedlings again. Treat the beds when the seedlings have three true leaves. Solution concentration: dissolve 1 ml of Epin in 5 liters of water.

For potatoes

Initially, the solution is used for pre-planting treatment of tubers. The sequence of operations is:

• prepare a working solution: dilute 1 ml of the preparation in 250 ml of water;
• the tubers are laid out in a thin layer and sprayed with Epin (they do not need to be turned over);
• The potatoes are left in a dark room for 4-4.5 hours.

Fertilize the tops again during the budding period. For spraying, use a solution (1 ml diluted in 5 liters of water).

For cabbage

The plant is treated with the product three times. Initially, the seeds are soaked in the working solution (2 drops of the stimulant dissolved in 100 ml) for 4-4.5 hours. The seedlings are sprayed again before planting (1 ml dissolved in 5 liters).

The heads of cabbage in the beds are treated for the third time to boost the plant's immunity. The treatment is carried out with a 0.02% solution.

For bell peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers

When growing crops, you can use a working solution of "Epin." The treatment is repeated several times during the season:

• the seed material is soaked in liquid for 2-4 hours (2 drops of stimulant per 100 ml of water);
• according to the instructions for use, the solution (1 ml of the preparation per 5 liters of water) is sprayed on seedlings before planting and 10-12 days later;
• Plants are treated before the flowering phase and after the formation of the ovary.

When caring for bell pepper plantings, spraying the crop during the flowering period is allowed.

For seedlings

When caring for seedlings, it is recommended to spray the foliage with a 0.02% working solution. Certain rules must be followed during the procedure: the liquid must be evenly applied to the leaf blades, the working solution must be used on the day of preparation, and the treatment must be carried out in the morning or evening hours, in calm conditions.

For flowers

Caring for plants with Epin not only boosts their immunity but also enhances their ornamental qualities and prolongs the flowering period. The working solution is used at various stages of plant growth:

• Preparing the seed material. The seeds are soaked in a solution (4 drops diluted in 100 ml of water);
• before flowering and after bud formation.

When caring for bulbous plants, this product can help advance the flowering phase by 7-10 days. The phytostimulator improves the appearance and lushness of the flowers.

Precautionary measures

The product is not classified as toxic. However, when using the stimulant, it is important to follow certain rules: wear a respirator, rubber gloves, and safety goggles while dissolving the product and during spraying. If the liquid is accidentally swallowed, perform gastric lavage.

Is compatibility possible?

The manufacturer permits the simultaneous use of the growth stimulator "Epin" with various fungicides, insecticides, fertilizers, and other growth promoters. Combining the product with alkaline products is not permitted.

How to store it correctly and for how long

Epin has a shelf life of three years from the date of manufacture. Store in a dry, ventilated area. It is recommended to store the product in its original packaging. The prepared solution should not be stored (discard any unused liquid).

What to replace it with

Manufacturers produce various drugs as growth stimulants, which also exhibit an immunomodulatory effect.

• The popular product "Zircon" is used for pre-planting treatment of seeds, spraying seedlings, and plants at all stages of the growing season. It is also used to suppress viruses. Since the working solution is absorbed by the root system, the liquid is then irrigated into the soil around the plants.
• "Heteroauxin" is a universal rooting stimulant for corms, seedlings, saplings, and bulbs. This treatment improves plant establishment, accelerates growth, and prevents the occurrence and spread of root rot and other fungal diseases.

Epin can be used prophylactically at various stages of plant growth. This prevents crops from becoming dependent on epinbrassinolide. When treating garden beds, keep in mind that the active ingredient quickly degrades when exposed to direct sunlight.
