"Novosil" is a valuable biological growth stimulant for crops. It is based on unique triterpene acids—abiesolic and abiesonic. They are extracted from the resin of Siberian fir needles. This product accelerates crop growth and development, makes them more resilient to temperature fluctuations, stimulates fruit set, and increases yield.
Main components and dosage form
This product is made from fir needles. It is available as a 5% emulsion. Its active ingredients are considered to be special triterpene acids – abiesolic and abiesonic.
Scientists learned to extract these components from resin relatively recently. However, these substances have already become widely used in agriculture. These components are characterized by healing, restorative, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Purpose and mechanism of action
Novosil is a plant growth biostimulant. It is also used as a fungicide. This product helps activate plants' defenses and mobilizes them to fight diseases.
The product increases the yield of various fruit and berry plants, including everbearing raspberries and strawberries. It is also used to treat legumes, buckwheat, and corn. It promotes their growth and provides protection against diseases. Applying the product to seedlings helps improve their survival rate.
So, using Novosil helps to achieve the following results:
- Stimulate crop development and reduce fruit ripening time.
- Reduce the incidence of fungal infections in plants.
- Increase the resistance of crops to the influence of unfavorable external factors – frost and drought.
- Accelerate germination and viability of seeds.
- Increase yield by 10-15%.
- Reduce crop storage losses.
- Improve the decorative characteristics of indoor plants.

Terms of Use
The product comes with instructions that must be followed. To prepare the working solution, the emulsion is mixed with water in the required proportions. This requires first making a concentrated mixture and then diluting it with water to the required dosage.
For seeds
To prepare the seeds for germination, prepare a solution of 1 milliliter of the solution and 1 liter of clean water. Mix the ingredients until smooth, then soak the seeds in the solution for 6 hours.
For seedlings
It's recommended to treat vegetable seedlings one week before planting in open ground or a greenhouse. This will help the young plants adapt more quickly to their new location and resist diseases and adverse weather conditions. To prepare the spray, mix one ampoule of the product with three liters of water and stir thoroughly.
After transplanting to a permanent site, the plants must continue to be treated with the product, observing the consumption rates:
- For cucumbers, prepare a solution of 5 drops of the product in 3 liters of water. During the growing season, the vegetable crop should be treated four times.
- For tomatoes, use a solution of 15 drops of fertilizer per 3 liters of water. Spray the tomatoes three times.
- Onions need to be treated twice during the growing season. The first time, when four leaves have formed, and the second time, two weeks later. To make the working solution, you'll need 30 drops of the solution per 3 liters of water.
- Cabbage should be sprayed with a solution of 12 drops of fertilizer per 3 liters of water. The first application is made when the plant has seven leaves, and the second application is made when the heads are forming.
- Potatoes should be treated with a solution of 1 liter of water and 30 drops of the product. This is recommended during the active flowering stage of the crop and one week after the initial treatment.

For berry crops
This fertilizer helps improve the flavor of berries and increase bush yields by 25%. Raspberries, currants, grapes, and gooseberries should be sprayed twice during the growing season. The first time, when flower buds are forming, and the second time, two weeks later. The recommended dosage is 30 drops per 6 liters of water.
Small shrubs, such as strawberries, should be fertilized three times during the season. This is done during flowering, after harvesting, and after removing the runners. To make a working solution, it is recommended to use 15 drops of Novosil per 3 liters of water.
For the medication to dissolve better in water, the water should be warm. The liquid temperature should be 35 degrees Celsius.
Precautionary measures
The product poses no danger to humans, fish, or beneficial insects. However, standard safety precautions must be followed when using it:
- Carry out treatment in windless weather.
- When spraying, protect your face and skin. For this purpose, wear protective clothing, a mask, goggles, and gloves.
- If the drug gets into your eyes, rinse them with plenty of running water.
- If the product is accidentally swallowed, take an absorbent and drink more fluids.

How and how long to store
It is recommended to store the product in a dry, dark place at a temperature no higher than 30 degrees Celsius. If all conditions are met, the shelf life is 3 years.
What to replace it with
The drug has no complete analogues. However, it can be replaced with a substance with a similar effect – Ecosil.
Novosil is an effective product that has a comprehensive effect on plants. To ensure the desired effect, it is important to strictly follow the instructions for use. Adherence to safety regulations is also crucial.
