Terrasil Forte seed treatment is an effective fungicide used to treat cereal seeds. It has pronounced protective and disinfectant properties. It eliminates spores, mycelium, and bacteria. The product creates a special soil environment that protects seeds from mold and infection. However, this effect can only be achieved by strictly following the instructions.
Composition and existing forms of release
The drug is available as a suspension concentrate and belongs to the triazole class of chemicals. It has a combined effect due to its two active ingredients. One liter of the drug contains 80 grams each of tebuconazole and flutriafol.

Purpose and mechanism of operation
The use of the preparation protects seeds from the following pathologies:
- smut;
- mold;
- spotting;
- rot;
- septoria.
Terrasil Forte can be used to treat wheat, barley, and oats. Its active ingredients have various effects on fungal microorganisms. Tebuconazole inhibits the production of ergosterol in pathogen cells, leading to their death. Flutriafol inhibits the synthesis of other sterols and makes pathogen cell membranes more permeable. This disrupts their reproduction process and leads to their death.
The product penetrates seed embryos during their swelling process. This provides excellent protection against fungal and bacterial microorganisms. The treatment begins to work two days after planting, provided the seeds have sufficient moisture. Its effectiveness lasts for a long time. As the sprouts develop, the nutrients are distributed throughout them, stimulating root growth.

Terrasil Forte helps prevent the development of diseases and provide long-term protection from infection. This protection is present from the moment the seedlings emerge until the stem elongates.
Instructions for use
Seeds should be treated before planting—ideally, 1-2 weeks before. The procedure can also be performed up to one year before sowing. During this period, the product retains its properties; the powder does not crumble, but adheres securely to the surface of the seeds. Therefore, re-treatment is not necessary.
Specific dosages and features of use of the product are given in the table:
| Norm of use of the substance | Culture | Pathologies | Rules of application |
| 0.4 | Spring and winter wheat | Various types of smut, root rot, early stages of septoria, powdery mildew, grain mold | Seeds should be treated in advance or before planting. Use 10 liters of the working solution per ton. |
| 0.4-0.5 | Winter wheat | Fusarium snow mold | The seeds should be treated in advance or before planting, using 10 liters of working liquid per 1 ton of grains. |
| 0.4-0.5 | Spring and winter barley | Various types of smut, root rot, spotting, seed mold | The treatment is carried out before or before sowing. The working fluid consumption is 10 liters per ton. |
| 0.4-0.5 | Oats | Smut, root rot, mold of seed material | Seeds should be treated in advance or before planting. Use 10 liters of working solution per ton. |
The working solution must be prepared before seed treatment. This should be done at designated stations. To prepare the seed treatment solution, fill a third of the container with water and add the required amount of seed treatment agent. Then, stir the mixture for 3-5 minutes. It is recommended to use the working solution immediately.
The composition evenly coats each grain. After drying, the substance adheres firmly to the surface and does not crumble. The treated grains turn dark red.

Precautionary measures
In terms of toxicity, this seed treatment belongs to hazard class 3. It cannot be used near bodies of water containing fish. It is also prohibited for use in private households.
Although the substance poses little risk to health, working with it requires wearing special clothing. Protective equipment—a respirator, goggles, and gloves—is essential. These prevent contact with the skin and mucous membranes. If exposed areas are affected, immediately rinse with water.
If the disinfectant is accidentally swallowed, perform a gastric lavage. This requires taking activated charcoal and 1 liter of water. After 20 minutes, induce vomiting. If your condition worsens, consult a doctor.

Is compatibility possible?
The seed treatment can be combined in tank mixes with various fungicides and insecticides. However, before using such a mixture, a compatibility test is required. To do this, combine a small amount of the working fluids and observe the reaction. If the color, temperature, or consistency changes, do not continue mixing the mixtures.
How and how long can it be stored?
Terrasil Forte has a shelf life of 2 years. The suspension concentrate should be stored in sealed, factory-made containers. Maintaining the correct temperature is crucial. Temperatures can range from -10°C to +30°C. It's also important to keep the room dry and dark. The product can be stored near any fertilizers or pesticides. However, it should not be stored near food, medications, or animal feed.

It is not recommended to use the seed treatment after the expiration date. The working solution should be used immediately after preparation. Its shelf life is no more than 24 hours. After that, the effectiveness of the solution decreases.
Analogues
If necessary, Terrasil Forte can be replaced with the following substances:
- Strike Forte;
- Impact Super;
- "Pharaoh Super".
