Instructions for use of the seed treatment Vial Trust, composition and analogues

It's advisable to use broad-spectrum fungicides when preparing seed. Vial Trust is a popular seed treatment agent because it not only disinfects seeds but also partially disinfects the soil in the beds. It is active against a wide range of pathogens and improves seed germination and germination rates.

What is included in the composition and existing forms of release

Vial Trust is produced as an aqueous suspension concentrate. It contains two active ingredients:

  • Tebuconazole (60 g/l) is a systemic fungicide with a broad spectrum of activity (therapeutic, protective, and eradicant properties). It is effective against all types of grain rust.
  • Thiabendazole (80 g/kg) is a fungicide effective against lag rot and storage diseases. Pre-planting treatment of potato tubers reduces susceptibility to fusarium rot by 3-4 times, phoma rot by 14 times, and silver scab by 7 times.

The seed treatment solution quickly penetrates the plant and is evenly distributed throughout. It is available in 5-liter plastic containers.

Purpose and mechanism of action

Vial Trust is used primarily as a seed treatment for planting material. Its mechanism of action is determined by the effects of its components on harmful organisms:

  • Tebuconazole, by suppressing the biosynthesis of ergosterol in the cell membranes of phytopathogens, inhibits the growth and development of pathogens of root rot and smut fungi;
  • Thiabendazole inhibits the biosynthesis of nucleic acids (RNA, DNA), suppresses the nuclear division phase.

By treating the seed material, the product provides plant protection against diseases for three weeks. It also increases seed germination.

Instructions for use

When using the drug, you must follow the manufacturer's instructions and adhere to the consumption rates of the concentrate.

Processing object Consumption rate Type of disease Features of application
Spring and winter wheat 0.3-0.4 loose smut, hard smut, fusarium root rot, seed mold, brown rust, septoria seeds are treated in advance or before sowing (with moistening)
Winter and spring barley 0.4-0.5 stone smut, loose smut, Fusarium root rot, seed mold
Winter rye 0.3-0.4 stem smut, seed mold, Fusarium and typhus snow mold
Sunflower 0.4-0.5 Phomopsis, white and gray rot, seed mold
Oats 0.3-0.4 covered, loose smut, seed mold

To ensure high-quality treatment, the working solution is applied to seed material cleaned of debris and dust. When spraying cereal seeds, the working solution rate is 10 liters per ton, while for sunflower seed treatment, the rate is 10-17 liters per ton.Vial Trust seed dressing

Precautionary measures

The drug is classified as hazard class 2 for humans. Therefore, any work must be carried out in compliance with safety regulations:

  • personal protective equipment is put on (glasses, respirator, rubber gloves and shoes, special clothing);
  • You must not drink, smoke, or eat while working or preparing the working solution;
  • It is prohibited to remove protective equipment during the processing of seed material.

After finishing work, protective equipment is cleaned. Gloves and shoes are washed in a disinfectant solution. Safety glasses are wiped with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. Hands are washed with soap and then washed with running water.

Symptoms of poisoning: cough, redness of skin areas, redness of eyes.

First aid for poisoning: go outside into the fresh air, remove contaminated protective equipment, rinse your eyes with plenty of water, wash your face and rinse your mouth.

Is compatibility possible?

In tank mixes, it is permissible to use the seed treatment with insecticides (Taboo, Taboo Neo) or other fungicides (Oplot). When preparing any mixture, it is advisable to test the components first to ensure compatibility. It is not recommended to combine Vial Trust with products that exhibit highly acidic or highly alkaline reactions.

How to store it correctly and for how long

It is advisable to allocate a separate, dry, ventilated room for storing pesticides. It is not recommended to store the seed treatment product together with food, drinking water, or animal feed. The manufacturer's stated shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture. It is recommended to store the suspension concentrate in its original packaging. It is recommended to dispose of any unused working solution.

What to replace it with

To prepare seed material for sowing, various seed treatment preparations can be used.

  • The Bunker product provides protection for flax seeds and grain crops, has a broad spectrum of action, low consumption rate, and provides a long-lasting protective effect.
  • The combined product "Vitalon" is a systemic fungicide. It exhibits both therapeutic and preventative effects, effectively protecting corn, soybeans, and grain crops from pathogens. Its special formula ensures even distribution of the solution over the seed surface.
  • Maxim Advance is a three-component seed treatment that provides enhanced protection of seeds and seedlings against fungal diseases. Its advantages include: improved nutrient absorption, accelerated seed germination, increased immunity of seeds and seedlings, prolonged protective action, and minimized sensitivity to temperature fluctuations.

The two-component seed treatment "Vial Trust" is effective in combating various diseases of grain crops, soybeans, and sunflowers. Its uniform application forms a thin film on plants that does not crumble after drying. Therefore, the product suppresses the development of leaf-stem infections in the early stages of seedling growth.
