Weeds often not only cause problems in garden beds but also ruin the appearance of well-maintained lawns. "Gazontrel" can effectively control both annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds. The herbicide's advantages include: weed control at all stages of vegetation and rapid penetration of harmful crops into plant systems.
What is included in the composition and dosage form
The herbicide "Gazontrel" is a post-emergence systemic herbicide. Its active ingredient, clopyralid (300 g/l), exhibits high weed control activity. Clopyralid's advantage is its selective action, killing only weeds.
The drug is produced as a concentrated liquid that is diluted with water to prepare the working solution. Available in 12 ml and 50 ml vials and 3 ml ampoules.
Purpose and how it works
A selective herbicide used to kill weeds such as plantain, dandelion, chamomile, knotweed, yarrow, buckwheat, and sorrel. The working solution is also used to spray strawberry beds and ornamental lawns.

The active ingredient is a synthetic derivative of plant hormones. When applied to plants, the herbicide penetrates through the leaf surface and spreads throughout the plant. The above-ground parts of the plant and the root system are unable to process the large amounts of synthetic hormones, resulting in the death of the weeds.
The solution's destructive power will be fully evident if precipitation occurs no earlier than 1-1.5 hours after spraying. The first signs of weed damage become visible within 12-20 hours. The green foliage becomes chlorotic 1.5-3 weeks after treatment.

Instructions for use
When diluting the working solution and spraying weeds, it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for use:
| Scope of application | Consumption rates (ml/liters of water) | Type of weed crops | Features of application |
| Lawn | 6/5 | dicotyledonous perennials and annuals | spraying plants after the first mowing |
| 1.50-1.80/5 | from annual dicotyledonous weeds | ||
| Strawberry plantings | 3/3 | plantain, sorrel, chamomile, dandelion, yarrow | processing of beds after harvesting |
Precautionary measures
The herbicide is classified as hazard class 3 for bees and humans. Safety precautions must be followed during application:
- all work is carried out using personal protective equipment (suit, safety glasses, gloves and shoes, respirator);
- Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited during spraying. After completing the work, it is recommended to wash your face and hands;
- Spraying work is carried out in dry, windless weather.
Is compatibility possible?
Manufacturers allow mixing Gazontrel with other herbicides. To ensure tank mixtures remain effective, pre-testing is recommended.

Expiration date and proper storage
The shelf life of the herbicide in its original packaging is two years from the date of manufacture. It is recommended to store the product in a separate, dry, ventilated, and dark room. Do not store herbicides, food products, or animal feed in the same room.
Analogues
Among the variety of herbicides, you can choose preparations with a similar principle of action that also contain clopyralid.
- The systemic herbicide "Klorit" effectively controls annual broadleaf weeds and actively destroys sow thistle and thistle. The working solution is used to treat cereal crops, sugar beets, and rapeseed.
- The herbicide "Lornet" simplifies the cultivation of flax, sugar beets, and cereal crops. It effectively controls chamomile, sow thistle, and knotweed.
- The highly effective herbicide "Rapsan" protects crops from difficult-to-eradicate weeds. Treatment destroys both the green above-ground parts of weeds and their root systems. It works well as a complement to tank mixes.
- The selective herbicide "Megalith" actively destroys some annual dicotyledonous weeds and biennial ones.

The advantages of the Gazontrel herbicide include ease of use, effectiveness in killing difficult-to-eradicate weeds, and selective action. Remarkably, even a single spray is sufficient to rid an area of harmful plants.
