Mechanism of operation
Reglon Air is a contract pesticide. When applied to green plant parts, the active ingredient disrupts cell membranes, causing the plant to die. Visual signs of damage (wilting of greenery, necrotic spots on leaf blades, and browning of foliage) are visible 5-7 days after treatment.
In low-light conditions (shaded areas), the product's activity is somewhat slower, and symptoms appear more slowly and unevenly. On sunny days, the desiccant's action accelerates, and signs of damage appear earlier.
What is it used for?
The product is most often used to treat uneven ripening of crops. It also helps speed up harvesting by drying the green mass. Spraying plants increases sunflower yields and oil content, and reduces the risk of fungal infections.
Consumption rates and instructions for use
When using the product for desiccation purposes, you must strictly follow the instructions to avoid overdrying the plants.

The optimal temperature for applying the solution is 15-25°C. Sunny weather accelerates the desiccation process. The product's effect is maintained and continues if the solution is applied 10-15 minutes before precipitation.
Reglon Air is used as a herbicide 2-3 times per season to remove annual weeds and many broadleaf weeds in orchards, vineyards, and flowerbeds. To improve the composition of pastures and hayfields (protect them from weeds and poisonous plants), the solution is sprayed over the entire area.
Spring treatment helps in the fight against vegetative buttercup, sorrel, and marsh marigold.
Precautionary measures
The product is classified as hazard class 3 for bees and humans. However, safety precautions should be followed when treating vegetation:
- work is carried out using personal protective equipment (special clothing, safety glasses, respirator, rubber gloves);
- During the spraying process, it is prohibited to drink, smoke, eat, or remove protective equipment;
- It is advisable to carry out work in calm, dry weather.
Manufacturers recommend treating pastures and hayfields 40-42 days before mowing. The product is also prohibited during the fruiting period.
What to do in case of poisoning
The drug is not considered particularly toxic. However, if it comes into contact with skin or mucous membranes, it is advisable to rinse the affected areas with running water. If signs of dizziness or nausea occur, it is recommended to seek medical attention.
How and how long can it be stored?
It is advisable to store the medication in its original packaging, tightly sealed. A separate, ventilated area protected from direct sunlight should be designated for storing chemicals. Do not store the medication in the same room with food or animal feed.
