Instructions for use of the herbicide Deimos against weeds and application rates

Deimos is an effective selective herbicide designed to kill over 40 weed species. The chemical is absorbed by roots and leaves, quickly penetrating the weed, and is highly resistant to rain. It decomposes completely in the soil within a season. It is approved for use on non-agricultural land and lawns.

Composition and existing forms of release

The product is sold as a water-soluble concentrate – 480 g/l. The active ingredient, which is detrimental to wild plants, is dimethylamine salt (dicamba). In addition to the base, the product contains adhesives that prevent the product from being washed off during rain. These adhesives facilitate the distribution of "Deimos" across the entire leaf.

Advantages of the product

The herbicide "Deimos" has a number of advantages:

  • highly effective product, protective action time after treatment is from 1 to 1.5 months;
  • the product affects the weed through the above-ground part and the root system, and copes with wild plants that are not affected by other chemicals;
  • in mixtures it is ideally combined with other herbicides.

The product is practically safe for honey insects and warm-blooded animals.

How it works

After application, the herbicide is distributed across the leaf blade and absorbed. The product also penetrates the plant through the roots, but only if the soil is thoroughly watered.

How quickly does it work?

Traces of the product's effect on weeds and signs of their imminent death are visible within 10-14 days. Initially, yellowing is observed, then the wild plant wilts. A month after treatment, it dries out completely.

Calculation of consumption

The herbicide application rate depends on several factors: the type of weed and the type of area being treated.

Object, culture Consumption rates l/ha
Couples, lawns 1.6-3.15
Pastures Spring – 1.6-2.0; autumn period – 2.6-3.1
Winter and spring crops 0.15-0.3
Corn 0.4-0.8

In hayfields, the herbicide is applied in the fall or spring to sprouted weeds; in fields and lawns, it is applied at any time as needed.

  2. Shake the herbicide container well. Measure out the required amount. Rinse the measuring cup several times, and pour the liquid into the sprayer.
  3. While constantly stirring the solution, add water to the sprayer tank to reach the required volume.

After use, the device should be thoroughly rinsed.

Instructions for use

The crop is processed at a certain stage of growth.

When to use the herbicide "Deimos":

Cultivated crops Growth stage Development indicators of wild plants
Corn With the appearance of 3-5 leaves

Perennial weeds that have reached a height of 15 cm, annuals when 2-4 leaves appear

Sunflower The presence of 4-6 pairs of leaves
Sugar beet When the aboveground part has 6-8 leaves
Cereals The plant begins to bush out

The preparation is not suitable for processing vegetables.

  • The product must not be stored near food products, in a barn, or next to animal feed;
  • It is forbidden to pick berries and mushrooms in areas treated with the composition for 2 months.

If signs of poisoning occur, you must immediately consult a doctor.

Possible compatibility

  • dichlorophenoxyacetic acid;
  • glyphosate;
  • MCPA.

Before preparing a tank mix, a compatibility test should be performed on the products. If an insoluble precipitate forms, the products should not be mixed.

How and how long can it be stored?

Sulfonylurea should be stored in a tightly sealed, undamaged container in a separate, designated area. The medication maintains its effectiveness at temperatures ranging from +40°C to -30°C. The shelf life is 3 years.
