The combined action product HB 101 was developed by Japanese scientists. The product has a rich history and has been used since 1982. However, it only began to be supplied to Russia in 2006. This product is an environmentally friendly plant growth and development regulator, known as a vitalizer. It helps boost the immune system of crops.
What is the composition and chemical formula of the fertilizer?
The main component of the vitalizer is silicon dioxide. It is extracted from long-lived trees. It activates all processes that affect crop growth. However, the stimulant formula also includes other substances. Thus, the product contains the following microelements:
- sulfur;
- nitrogen;
- calcium;
- iron;
- magnesium;
- silicon.
The composition also includes plant extracts:
- cypress;
- pine;
- cedar;
- plantain.

Mechanism of action
HB 101 is a versatile substance. It combines the properties of an immunomodulator and a fertilizer. It also stimulates plant growth. This is why the compound is called a vitalizer, a term that translates as "life-bringing."
NV is considered a natural agricultural substance.
It poses no threat to the environment or living organisms, yet it contains a whole range of essential nutrients.
The following forms of the drug are available:
- Liquid – contains nitrogen and other components that promote active growth. The main ingredient is silicon. This form of the product has a very rapid effect.
- Granular – in addition to the main components, it contains oxides. The substance is produced as a special silicate, 75% of which is silicon dioxide. The composition gradually dissolves, taking 3-6 months.

The NV mineral complex has a comprehensive effect and works in several directions at once:
- affects plant cellular synthesis at the micro level;
- improves photosynthesis and nutrition;
- strengthens and fortifies the immune system and improves the breathing process;
- activates the vital activity of beneficial microorganisms.

Purpose
This organic product is suitable for use on all types of plants and all types of soil. It is widely used in agriculture – in gardens, vegetable patches, and greenhouses. It is also suitable for use in greenhouses.
When using the substance for seedlings, the following results can be achieved:
- improve growth;
- achieve lush flowering;
- increase crop yields;
- saturate plants with nutrients.
The product can be used throughout the year.

Advantages and disadvantages
The use of the drug has many advantages:
- Strengthening cell walls and activating their growth. This allows plants to develop root and leaf mass faster. The active component also boosts the immunity of garden and houseplants.
- Assimilation of nutrients and protection from adverse factors.
- Accelerated seed germination. This product helps plants better cope with the stress of transplanting and changing environmental conditions.
- Increased yield. This product promotes more frequent flowering, faster fruit ripening and bud opening, and improved crop appearance.
- The product can be used at any stage of growth. It has a beneficial effect on the soil. After use, the soil becomes more fertile. The product is completely safe for wildlife.
- Convenient dosage form makes the composition easy to use and transport.
However, the product also has certain disadvantages. These include the following:
- High cost.
- Need for regular application.
- Risk of crop growth retardation in case of overdose.
- Harmful effects on crops growing in poor soil.

When to apply and application rates
To achieve maximum results when germinating seeds, growing seedlings, and caring for mature crops, it's important to clearly define the dosage and frequency of treatments. The specific application method depends on the crop variety:
- Seedlings. First, soak the seeds in a solution of HB 101 and leave them overnight. To make the solution, use 2 drops of the solution per 1 liter of water. When transplanting seedlings into open ground, they should be treated with the solution three times.
- Vegetable crops. Tomato, cucumber, and eggplant bushes are sprayed with the product four times per season. During bed preparation, it is recommended to water three times with a solution of two drops of the product mixed with 10 liters of water. Then, soak the seeds in the solution overnight. Seedlings are recommended to be sprayed three times, at weekly intervals. After planting in open ground, the bushes are treated weekly. The product is applied foliarly.
- Melons. It is recommended to treat them at the seedling stage and after transplanting. Before sowing, water the soil three times, using 1 milliliter of the product per bucket of water. Then, soak the seeds for 2-3 hours in a solution consisting of 2 drops of the product per 1 liter of water. After this, spray the seedlings three times weekly. Before harvesting, five treatments are required, spaced one week apart, using a solution of 1 milliliter of the product per 10 liters of water.
- Fruit and berry crops. They require the same treatment as vegetables. It is recommended to perform this treatment four times during the season.

Instructions for use
NV 101 is used on seedlings and on mature crops. In all cases, it is important to follow the instructions. The product is available in two forms. Both versions are suitable for use in both open and closed ground.
However, the methods of use differ:
- The liquid product is recommended for spraying. It should be used on trees and shrubs. Cereals should be treated only for preventative purposes. The liquid form should be combined with the dry form. The product can also be used for watering plants throughout the season.
- The granular substance is sold ready-to-use, so there's no need to dilute it. It's best used as a fall fertilizer. The granules take six months to break down. This helps fully saturate the soil and prepare it for planting seedlings.

Safety precautions
When using the substance, it is important to follow certain safety precautions:
- mix the solution with gloves on;
- When using granules, wear a mask;
- Do not drink, eat or smoke while processing plants;
- Do not allow children and pets into the treatment area.

Contraindications for use
The drug has no negative effects or contraindications. It is made from plant-based ingredients and is used for health and wellness.
Even with an overdose, the main negative effect will be a slowdown in crop development compared to normal use. However, in this case, the plant will grow faster than without the product.

Is compatibility possible?
This compound can be combined with any fertilizers, stimulants, and pesticides. However, it can be used 1-2 weeks after applying the main fertilizers. However, combining the NV 101 stimulant with nitrogen fertilizers is not recommended.

How to store it correctly and for how long
The instructions state that the substance has an unlimited shelf life. The longer it has been since production, the more beneficial components will be destroyed. Therefore, the product is recommended to be used within 2-3 years. It should be stored in a dark place with moderate humidity.

What to replace it with
Effective analogues of the drug include:
- "Etamon" is an excellent growth stimulant. It contains nitrogen and phosphorus. It is used for open ground applications and is especially useful for treating greens and seedlings.
- Trichoplant is a formula that helps improve the fertility of garden soil. It also effectively combats diseases such as rot, powdery mildew, and fusarium. It contains a fungicide and fungi that help eliminate harmful substances.
- Floron is a bacterial fertilizer for garden soil. It can be used to combat fungi and bacteria.
HB 101 is an effective product that stimulates crop growth and strengthens their immune system. To ensure the desired results, it is important to follow the instructions carefully.
