"Green Needle" is a fertilizer designed for conifers. This fertilizer effectively combats browning of needles, which is often associated with a magnesium deficiency in the soil. It contains all the necessary elements to eliminate and prevent this symptom. The product is available in various forms, making it easy to choose the most suitable option. To achieve the desired results, it is important to strictly follow the instructions.
What is this drug and what forms are available?
Green Needle is an effective fertilizer essential for normal tree development and the development of strong immunity to disease. It contains the following:
- Nitrogen, a 4% nitrogen component, is the primary element used by trees to develop shoots and strengthen roots. It also ensures the normal course of photosynthesis and important chemical reactions.
- 4.2% phosphorus – this substance promotes root system regeneration after winter. It is also used after transplanting young crops.
- 11% potassium – a substance that affects the development and strengthening of needles during the warm season.
- 2.8% magnesium – this component prevents needles from turning brown. Magnesium is structurally similar to chlorophyll, helping trees maintain their bright green shoots.
- 0.15% iron – a deficiency of this element causes the needles to lighten in color without shedding.
The combination drug "Green Needle" is produced in several forms, each with its own specific uses:
- Granules are considered the most common form of the product. These granules have a loose texture and dissolve well in water. They are white or grayish in color and are sold in 20- and 40-kilogram bags. For smaller farms, 1-kilogram cardboard packaging is available. Granules are most often applied to the trunk circle of conifers.
- Powder – sold in 100-gram paper bags. The powder should be mixed with water and applied to the soil.
- Liquid fertilizer – this product is available in 500-milliliter bottles. A measuring cup is included for easy dosing. The liquid fertilizer can be applied directly to the soil or sprayed onto the leaves.
- Spray – also available as a liquid, but sold in a bottle with a spray nozzle. This option is more suitable for smaller plants, which can be sprayed manually.
Purpose
Green Needle is suitable for fertilizing any conifer. It can be applied to the soil during planting or mixed with the topsoil during the initial growth stage. After application, the soil should be watered.
The main advantages of this tool include the following:
- strengthening the immunity of coniferous plants - due to this they become more resistant to climate, diseases and parasites;
- long lasting effect;
- affordable price.

Dosage and instructions for use
To ensure the desired effect, the product must be used strictly according to the instructions. It is recommended to use the product from March to August. However, application instructions vary depending on the dosage form.
The powder is recommended for root or foliar application. It should be applied to the tree trunk circle in the spring, at the beginning of the growing season. After that, it should be applied 3-4 more times at monthly intervals. To prepare the working solution, use 35 grams of the substance per bucket of water. This volume is enough for 1 square meter of plantings. The solution should be applied to the tree trunk circle.
The spray is ready to use. It does not require mixing with water. To use this product, spray conifers every 1-1.5 weeks. This product is designed for rapid mineralization.
This concentrated liquid solution helps prevent browning of needles due to magnesium deficiency. It can be applied either through root or foliar application. Plants should be watered with the solution 3-4 times during the season. To prepare the solution, mix 20 milliliters of the solution with 3 liters of water. Trees should be sprayed from March to September at intervals of 1-1.5 weeks. Use 20 milliliters of the solution per 1 liter.

Granular fertilizer is considered a reliable way to prevent needle browning. It is recommended to apply 15-20 grams of the product per square meter. The granules should be evenly distributed over the soil surface, mixed with the topsoil, and watered thoroughly. Apply the product every 3-4 weeks in the spring and summer.
Precautionary measures
"Green Needle" is considered a relatively safe fertilizer, harmless to people, animals, and beneficial insects. It contains no toxic ingredients. However, when handling the powder, granules, and solution, wear rubber gloves. After spraying or applying the solution to the soil, wash your face and hands with laundry soap.
If the substance comes into contact with your skin, rinse it with water. If the fertilizer gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with running water.
Is compatibility possible?
Conifers do not respond well to nutrient overload. Therefore, it is not recommended to combine Green Needle with other products. This product contains all the micronutrients necessary for healthy growth.
