You can choose any type of fruit, but depending on the sweetness of the apples, you will have to adjust the amount of sugar:
- if the fruits are sweet, then you will need less than 100 grams per liter jar;
- The classic proportion is considered to be 100 grams per liter;
- If the apples are sour, you can add a little more sugar to correct the taste.
Much depends on individual preference; during the cooking process, before sending the jars to sterilization, it is advisable to taste them.

Preparing fruits and containers
We deal with the fruits as follows:
- We wash them under running water and inspect them for rot and mold.
- Cut into quarters, remove the core and peel with a knife.
Depending on the recipe, the fruit will have to be chopped; more often they are grated, but less often they resort to other methods.
The containers will also need to be prepared for creating blanks; you will need:
- rinse them under running water using baking soda as a dishwashing detergent;
- sterilize over steam, but often sterilization is carried out later, by placing the grated fruit in washed jars;
- The lids are sterilized separately in a small container, boiling them for at least 5-7 minutes.
Tip: containers should be inspected for chips, cracks and damage, usually after washing.

- Wash the apples, peel and core them, and grate them.

- We cover the container with a lid and send it for sterilization.
- We place the containers, along with their contents, into a saucepan with a linen towel placed on the bottom.
- The sterilization time for a liter jar is 20 minutes.

This recipe is not fundamentally different from the previous one, you need to do the following:
- core and peel the sour apples and cut them into slices;
- Place the fruit on a towel to drain the water;
- grate the fruits on a coarse grater, sprinkle with a small amount of cinnamon, you can use ground or sticks (it is more aromatic);
- place the mixture on a plate or in a saucepan, sprinkle with sugar, and wait for 10-15 minutes;
- then we put it into containers and send everything for sterilization.
After sterilization, close the containers with lids, turn them over, cover them with a warm blanket or towel, and wait until they cool.

Grated fruits with sugar
We will cook according to the following recipe:
- Wash the fruits thoroughly, remove the core and peel.
- We cut them into slices and grate them, sprinkle with sugar, and mix.
- Place them in containers that have been previously sterilized.
- We close the container with a lid and put the preserves in the refrigerator.
If the product hasn't been sterilized, don't store it at room temperature. It's best to refrigerate it. The shelf life of this dessert is no more than 2 weeks.

Storage characteristics and duration
If you follow the cooking instructions, you can store the ingredients at room temperature; there is no need to put them in a cellar or basement.
The shelf life of fruits pureed with sugar does not exceed 12 months.
