The Tigrenyok tomato has a unique coloring: the fruit is covered with thin stripes reminiscent of a tiger's fur. This variety was bred in Russia and is suitable for plastic greenhouses or open ground cultivation. Tigrenyok tomatoes have only recently appeared on the market, but gardeners are increasingly interested in growing this variety. Farmers are attracted by the high yield, excellent taste, and unique coloring of the fruit.
Description of Tigrenyok tomatoes
Let's review the variety's description and characteristics. The plant is indeterminate. The tomato bushes are relatively tall and well-branched, with branches bearing few leaves and upright shoots reaching up to 1.5 m in height.

The leaves are emerald green and medium-sized. When growing, the bushes need to be trained. Gardeners pinch the top of the plant to prevent the vegetative part from growing too large.
Plants with tall stems need to be tied to a support or trellis. Bushes should be pruned so that three stems are formed. Side branches and side shoots should be pinched regularly. This tomato variety is considered a mid-season variety.

It takes about 3.5 months from seedling development to harvest. After 4-5 leaves have formed, the first inflorescences emerge. The remaining ovaries form after 2-3 leaves. The ovaries are cluster-shaped, each containing approximately 8-12 tomatoes.
The fruits are round, reminiscent of apples in color and appearance. Each fruit weighs 40-80 g. The tomatoes have juicy, firm flesh. The skin is firm and does not crack. Ripe tomatoes are red with orange stripes, reminiscent of a tiger cub's coat.

Taste qualities of tomatoes
Tomatoes have excellent flavor. They are sweet with a slight tartness. If the plant received little sunlight and warmth, or grew in cold weather or a rainy season, the fruits will be more tart.
Tigrenok tomatoes are highly productive. Approximately 10 kg of tomatoes can be harvested from 1 m². These tomatoes transport well and store well for extended periods. Their excellent taste and appearance remain intact throughout storage.

Tomatoes can be eaten fresh, canned, or used to make sauces, gravies, and seasonings. They can be fried, boiled, or used in a variety of dishes. Thanks to their distinctive color and excellent flavor, these tomatoes are excellent when pickled whole.
The plant is hardy and resistant to various diseases such as late blight and gray mold.

Reviews from gardeners
Reviews from those who have planted this variety are positive. Gardeners note the following advantages:
- high productivity;
- exotic appearance of fruits;
- excellent taste;
- good preservation during transportation;
- long shelf life.
Among the variety's shortcomings, those who have grown these tomatoes note that the plant requires tying and regular shaping of the bushes. Tigrenok tomatoes grow well both outdoors and in greenhouses. For example, a woman who planted these tomatoes yielded 30 kg of fruit from a small plot in her garden.
