Inta-Vir is a pyrethroid—a synthetic analogue of natural pyrethrins. They are plant-based insecticides found in tansy, chamomile, and chrysanthemum flowers. Its active ingredient is cypermethrin. It is available as water-soluble tablets or powder. One kilogram of the product contains 37.5 grams of the active ingredient.
What is it used for and mechanism of action?
Pyrethroids are used in gardens and homesteads. They are also used by farmers. This insecticide has intestinal and contact properties. Upon direct contact with insects and after ingestion, the product paralyzes their nervous system. The pests lose their ability to feed and die within 2-3 days.
The product is effective against the following types of parasites:

- codling moths;
- cabbage whites;
- thrips;
- carrot flies;
- aphid;
- Colorado potato beetles;
- bedbugs;
- fleas;
- red house ants;
- leaf rollers;
- potato moth;
- sawflies;

Calculation of consumption and rules of application
To use the product, dissolve one tablet in a small amount of water. Then, gradually add more liquid to bring the working solution to the required volume. Plants should be thoroughly sprayed with the freshly prepared solution. Treatment should be carried out in the morning or evening, in calm weather.
Spraying plants with Inta-Vir is only necessary after the pests appear, as the product has a therapeutic effect. To kill cockroaches in an apartment, use a solution of one tablet of the product and 300-500 milliliters of water. To get rid of indoor pests, use a solution of one tablet of the product and 600 milliliters of water.
In any case, it is recommended to use Inta-Vir strictly according to the instructions. Spraying is permitted a maximum of three times per season. This should only be done after flowering has finished. If three applications fail to completely eliminate the pests, it is best to use a different product. This will help prevent the pests from developing a tolerance.
To get rid of leaf rollers, codling moths, and aphids on pear and apple trees, it is recommended to use 8-10 liters of the solution per plant. To kill weevils on strawberries, it is recommended to use 1.5 liters of the solution per 10 square meters. The same dosage is used to kill aphids and whiteflies on tomatoes and cucumbers.
To spray potatoes, beets, and carrots with Inta-Vir, apply 10 liters of solution per 100 square meters of planting area. To protect cherries from the cherry fly, apply 2.5 liters of solution per tree. Inta-Vir also helps control most pests that affect currants and gooseberries. For this purpose, apply 1 liter of solution per bush. It is important to note that garden and vegetable crops can be sprayed no later than 20-25 days before harvest.
Safety precautions
Inta-Vir is a moderately hazardous substance, classified as hazard class 3. This means it is not phytotoxic. It poses no danger to mammals, but it does pose a risk to bees and other pollinators. Therefore, spraying plants during the flowering period is strictly prohibited. Bees may not be allowed into treated areas until 4-5 days after application.
Inta-Vir is highly toxic to aquatic organisms. Therefore, its use in fisheries zones is prohibited. This means it cannot be used within 2,000 meters of water bodies.
When handling crops, wear protective clothing. Wearing a mask, gloves, and goggles is mandatory. No food or drink is permitted during the procedure. Smoking is also prohibited. After finishing the work, wash your face and hands with soap. Rinse your mouth and change clothes.
What can it be combined with?
Inta-Vir can be combined with other pesticides. The exception is alkaline pesticides. Compatibility should be verified on a case-by-case basis.
How and how long to store
The product should be stored in a dry, dark place at a temperature no higher than 40 degrees Celsius. The prepared solution should not be stored. It should be used immediately after use.
Inta-Vir should be stored out of the reach of children and pets. It should not be placed near food or other medications. Once opened, the product should not be stored.
