The Bashful Blush tomato is a rare cherry tomato variety. Its elongated, bicolored fruits have a sweet flavor and aroma. This variety is also known as the Blush Tiger, Blush, and Blush.
Characteristics of the variety
Cherry tomatoes are a variety of tomato characterized by small fruits. The Rumyants tomato, part of this series, was bred by Fred Hempel in 2011 in California.

The variety's description indicates high productivity. This tomato is recommended for growing outdoors and in greenhouses. It requires staking and training. High yields are achieved by cultivating a bush with 4-5 stems.
The Blush variety's characteristics include a medium ripening period, with the first fruits ripening in 90-100 days. The bush is indeterminate, reaching a height of 180-200 cm during the growing season. The leaves are regular, with a single raceme.
The tomatoes are oval and oblong in shape. They have a glossy surface. The fruits are golden pink in color, developing golden and pink stripes as they ripen. The flesh is sweet when cut, juicy, moderately firm, yellow-red, and has a sweet, tart flavor. They weigh 30-40 g.

Up to 14 tomatoes can form and ripen simultaneously in a cluster, allowing for harvesting by the cluster. Tomatoes are rich in vitamins A, E, K, and B, as well as micro- and macronutrients. In cooking, the fruits are used fresh, for canning, as a dessert, and as an additional ingredient to main dishes.
The variety is resistant to temperature fluctuations, fungal and viral diseases of nightshade crops, and is easy to care for.
Features of cultivating the variety
Cherry tomato cultivation is no different from that for larger tomatoes. The Bashful Blush tomato is grown using seedlings. The seeds are sown in special containers in March.

When two true leaves emerge, transplanting is done. Larger containers filled with substrate are used for this purpose. Care for the seedlings includes watering and fertilizing with complex fertilizers. Irrigate as the soil dries out in the afternoon.
Before planting, the seedlings are hardened off by placing them outside for 10 days, gradually increasing the time spent outdoors. This helps the plants adapt to the new conditions.
Once established, the seedlings are transferred to a greenhouse (hotbed or hothouse). They are planted in an open garden bed when the weather warms up and the soil reaches 16°C.
Planting density influences yield. It's recommended to plant 3-4 plants per square meter. As needed, train the stems and remove lower leaves down to the first flower cluster.

To prevent fruit cracking, you need to follow a watering regime, maintain soil moisture, and avoid over-watering and drying out. It is recommended to harvest the bush periodically, from the moment the first fruits ripen.
This variety requires preventative measures against late blight. Treatments are carried out every 10-15 days and stopped 30 days before harvest.
Caring for the crop involves a system of agricultural measures, which includes loosening the soil, applying mineral and organic fertilizers during the growing season, and hilling the plants.
Benefits of yellow cherry tomatoes
Research has shown that not only the mineral content of microelements but also the aroma and color of a food affect its health. For example, yellow foods contain higher amounts of ascorbic acid.

Yellow vegetables have a positive effect on perception and mood. Cherry tomatoes (called "Shy Blush") promote increased activity and reduce fatigue.
Yellow cherry tomatoes stimulate gastric acid secretion, increase appetite, and promote digestive health. Yellow fruits are safe to eat without restrictions and are hypoallergenic.
These tomatoes have a sweeter taste. They are preferred in professional cooking. There are reasons for this, notably the fact that the miniature, brightly colored fruits look neat and serve as a decorative element in dishes.
Small tomatoes retain their fresh appearance and appeal longer, and they have a more concentrated flavor.
