Characteristics of the variety

Cherry tomatoes are indeterminate and tall-growing plants. In greenhouse conditions, mature plants can reach large sizes, but in open ground, the bushes tend to be more compact and smaller. They require staking and strong support.

The foliage of the Cherry Negro variety is dark green. The leaves are slightly elongated and medium-sized. The branches are compactly and densely arranged throughout the bush, so the mature plant doesn't take up much space.

This variety requires pinching. Form the plant into a single stem, removing all side shoots. At the end of the season, you can stop the growth of the bush yourself by pinching the top.

This variety belongs to the entire cherry tomato group. It is grown in open ground, greenhouses, or hotbeds.

Cherry Negro is a hybrid variety that produces small fruits that grow abundantly on the mature plant's clusters. Visually, these tomatoes closely resemble bunches of grapes. Each cluster produces approximately 15-20 fruits.

Each tomato averages 25-30 grams in weight. Tomatoes range in color from dark brown with a burgundy tint to deep cherry. The fruits are ovoid in shape. All Cherry Negro tomatoes are uniform in size and ripen uniformly and at the same time. The surface of the fruit is smooth and shiny, and the stem is quite short.

The early-ripening Cherry Negro tomato variety produces its first fruits 85 days after sowing. The clusters form on the stem immediately after the 7th to 9th leaf. This plant has a high yield: 10-12 kg of fruit can be harvested per square meter.

• the shape is more elongated, with a sharp tip;

Growing and care

Seedlings are planted 45-50 days before planting in open ground. This is in late April or early May. Sowing is carried out in a special container with pre-prepared soil, which consists of peat, river sand and ordinary soil.

As soon as the sprouts develop 2-3 leaves, you can begin transplanting. In early June, the seedlings are planted in open ground. Before planting, the soil is fertilized with humus and wood ash. No more than 3-4 plants are planted per square meter. Immediately after planting, the beds are watered and mulched.

Further care is carried out as usual:

• regular watering;
• loosening the soil;
• application of fertilizers and top dressing;
• Preventive treatment of plants against pests.
