The Golitsyn tomato is popular with gardeners; it can be planted in greenhouses, hotbeds, and open beds. This variety is characterized by excellent yields throughout the growing season. The Golitsyn variety was created by breeders at the Gavrish agricultural firm, who specifically developed the new tomato variety to ensure gardeners could harvest fruit quickly.
What is the Golitsyn tomato?
Tomatoes that gardeners harvest 95 days after sowing seeds into the ground for seedlings are distinguished by their excellent taste. Early-ripening fruits don't always produce the expected flavor.

Characteristics and description of the variety:
- Plants can reach a height of 80-120 cm: in greenhouse conditions the figure is 1.2 m, and in open ground - 0.8 m.
- The bushes grow well in greenhouses and open beds.
- Tomato bushes produce strong clusters of fruits and large, dark green leaves.
- The harvest can be quite large, depending on planting conditions, care, and fertilizing. A single bush can yield an average of 3 kg of fruit. Therefore, a plot of 1 m² can yield 10 kg or more of tomatoes.
During the growing process, bushes need to be tied to supports and trellises, since the stems are prone to breakage, which causes crop loss.

The tomato bushes harvest in stages, over 3-4 periods. The first harvest of pods will begin after 95 days, with subsequent harvests occurring as the tomatoes ripen. To speed up ripening, it's necessary to pinch off the side shoots. This will allow the plant to properly distribute its energy for fruit production.
Tomatoes usually don't ripen completely in late autumn, so they should be picked green and then placed in a dark place until they turn red and ripen fully.
Positive feedback from gardeners concerns not only the appearance of the plants, but also their tomatoes.

First of all, it's the taste, which is characterized by a sweetness with a slight tartness. These tomatoes are recommended for making fresh salads, adding other vegetables. Many housewives make tomato paste, juice, or puree from the fruits, which are adored by young children.
The Golitsyn tomato variety also has other excellent characteristics:
- Tomatoes have a regular egg-shaped form.
- The weight of tomatoes varies from 70 to 90 g.
- The skin of the fruit is elastic, dense, and has a matte bright red color.
- The core of ripe tomatoes is juicy and dense, without many seeds.
- There are 5 chambers inside.
- The fruits do not have ribs, so the tomatoes are smooth on the outside on all sides and edges.
- Tomatoes are distinguished by a pronounced tomato aroma.

The Golitsyn variety's fruits are firmly attached to the plant's trusses, allowing them to withstand changes in weather and wind. The fruits do not fall to the ground; they are harvested directly from the vines.
To increase yields, experienced gardeners recommend picking tomatoes while they're still brown and placing them in boxes to ripen. This gives the plants the strength to produce more fruit.
The harvested crop can be used for sale to industrial enterprises, canned, salted in barrels or preserved in jars.
