Fungicides are used to combat fungal infections and prevent them. These products can have a broad or narrow spectrum of activity. The latter includes the fungicide "Amistar Extra," whose instructions state that it is suitable for protecting spring and winter grain crops. Moreover, the application procedure directly depends on the type of plant being sprayed.
Composition of the product, purpose and release form
Amistar Extra is a comprehensive antifungal medication with universal action. It is used to treat and prevent infectious diseases affecting the outer parts of plants. The active ingredients are cyproconazole and azoxystrobin.
The fungicide is aggressive. Therefore, it should not be used for two years in a row. The product is available as a liquid concentrate in varying volumes. Before each use, the preparation should be diluted with water in the proportions specified in the instructions.
How quickly does it take effect and the mechanism of action?
The fungicide has a systemic effect on the treated plant. The first effect is observed within 35 minutes after spraying. Azoxystrobin, a component of the fungicide, affects the respiratory system of fungi, inhibiting the vital functions of pathogenic microflora.
The fungicide's effects are not limited to these. It stimulates metabolic processes, thereby enhancing the absorption of beneficial micronutrients, increases crop yields, and strengthens the immune system. At the same time, the product provides protection against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation.

Advantages of the product
Gardeners highlight the following advantages of the drug:
- the plant's immunity to various diseases is strengthened;
- the effect of the drug is observed at different stages of the disease development;
- the duration of the growing season increases;
- general immunity is strengthened;
- the absorption of micronutrients is improved;
- protection against pathogenic microflora is maintained after watering.
The use of this product is also justified by the fact that Amistar Extra helps increase the yield of treated crops.
Disadvantages of the drug
When using this fungicide, it's important to carefully maintain the mixing ratio with water. Avoid contact with flowers during application, as the ingredients are toxic to bees. Furthermore, this fungicide is expensive compared to other similar fungicides.

How to prepare a solution
The instructions for preparing the solution depend on the type of crop requiring treatment. However, in each case, the fungicide is mixed with water in a specific ratio. The prepared solution is then sprayed on the affected plant.
Rye
It is recommended to treat rye at the first signs of infection. If necessary, this procedure can be repeated after 20 days.
For 1 hectare of rye you will need 900 milliliters of concentrate and 420 liters of water.
Sunflower
Sunflowers can be treated at any stage of fungal infection development. A single spray of Amistar Extra solution is sufficient to suppress pathogenic microflora. To treat one hundred square meters of sunflower, mix 9 milliliters of concentrate with 3 liters of water.

Sugar beet
Sugar beets are also treated at any stage of the disease's development. To suppress pathogenic microorganisms, a solution made from 8.5 milliliters of "Amistar Extra" and 3 liters of water is required.
Wheat
To protect wheat from fusarium, it is recommended to treat it a week before flowering. Otherwise, a fungicide solution (700 milliliters per 300 liters) is applied throughout the crop's development.
Barley
Barley should be treated immediately after the first signs of infection appear. To do this, prepare a solution of 600-900 milliliters of Amistar Extra and 310 liters of water.

Rape
Rapeseed is treated using the same method as barley. A mixture of 9 milliliters of fungicide and 3.5 liters of water is applied to the plant.
Corn
To treat corn, you'll need a solution of 700 milliliters of concentrate and 200 liters of water. Treatment for this crop can be done at any stage of the disease's progression.
Instructions for use
This product is used at the first signs of disease. It is applied to plants by spray. If the solution is used for disease prevention, it should be applied before flowering. The last application should be one month before harvest.

Safety precautions at work
Because the fungicide contains toxic substances, it is recommended to treat crops in dry, windless weather, wearing protective clothing and a mask. If the solution comes into contact with skin, wash it with soap and water.
Degree of toxicity
Amistar Extra has been assigned a toxicity class of 2, meaning it is dangerous for humans. The fungicide has also been assigned a toxicity class of 3 for bees.
Compatibility with other drugs
Before each use, it is recommended to test Amistar Extra for compatibility with other fungicides and pesticides. However, this product can be mixed with most popular products.

Storage Features
It is recommended to store the fungicide in a dark place, away from direct sunlight. The product can withstand temperatures ranging from -5 to +34 degrees Celsius. The shelf life is no more than three years from the date of production.
Existing analogues
There are no full-fledged alternatives to Amistar Extra. However, Amistar Trio, which has a broader spectrum of action, is available as a replacement.
