Wheat and barley are crops that require treatment against fungal diseases during the growing season. Let's look at the composition and formulation of the fungicide "Propishans Universal," how it works, and its intended purpose. What dosage and application rate does the manufacturer recommend, what are the instructions for use, and what are the safety precautions? Can Propishans Universal be combined with pesticides, how and under what conditions can it be stored, and what can it be used as a substitute?
What is included in the composition and dosage form
MTS Agro-Alliance, the manufacturer of the fungicide "Propishans Universal," produces the product as a microemulsion concentrate in 5-liter canisters. "Propishans" EC contains two active ingredients: propiconazole at a concentration of 300 g per liter and tebuconazole at a concentration of 200 g per liter. Both are triazoles. "Propishans Universal" is a systemic pesticide with protective and therapeutic effects.
Operating principle and purpose
The fungicide's active ingredients destroy the cell walls of pathogens, inhibiting mycelial growth. The substances migrate upward through the plant and are absorbed by vegetative organs.

Calculation of consumption
Spring and winter wheat are treated against brown, stem, and yellow rust, septoria leaf spot, powdery mildew, and pyrenophorosis with a solution prepared at a rate of 0.3-0.4 liters per hectare. One or two sprayings are performed, using 300 liters per hectare. The application period is one month.
The same method is used to treat barley against septoria, dwarf rust, dark brown and net spot, rhynchosporiosis and powdery mildew.
Terms of Use
"Propishans Universal" penetrates plants within 2-4 hours after spraying. It can protect wheat and barley for 4-5 weeks. It has no toxic effect on grains. To achieve the best results, it is best to spray at the early stage of disease development, when signs of illness are just beginning to appear.

Safety precautions
"Propishans Universal" can be toxic to humans when used with it; the product is classified as an agricultural product with hazard class 2 for humans, but it is less toxic for bees – class 3.
Spray plants in calm weather with clear sunlight, preferably in the morning or evening. Those handling the product must wear protective clothing with long sleeves that covers the entire body from the solution. A respirator or gas mask, plastic goggles, and rubber gloves are mandatory when working with the product. Without protective equipment, there is a high risk of poisoning.
After spraying, remove clothing, wash it with a baking soda solution, and wash your hands and face with soap. If the solution comes into contact with your body, hands, or face, rinse with clean water.

If symptoms of poisoning appear, stop working, go to a safe area, take off your clothes, and if the product gets into your stomach, rinse it out with activated charcoal.
Is compatibility possible?
Propishans Universal can be combined with herbicides and insecticides. Do not mix products that are strongly acidic or alkaline. When using any new product, it is recommended to first conduct a chemical compatibility test.
Take 50 ml of each solution, mix them together in a small container, and test the reaction. The solutions are considered compatible if their physical properties, color, consistency, and temperature remain unchanged. If changes occur or a precipitate forms, the solutions should not be mixed; a different solution should be selected.

How and how long can it be stored?
"Propishans Universal" can be stored for 2 years from the production date. Store the concentrate in its original canisters in a dry, dark, and ventilated area at temperatures between -20°C and +25°C. Protect the product from moisture and light.
Do not store food, medications, or drinking water near the solution. Fertilizers, plant protection products, and growth stimulants may be stored nearby. It is not recommended to use the solution after its expiration date due to its reduced effectiveness. Also, do not use the prepared solution the day after preparation. Use the solution only on the day of preparation.

What to replace it with
In agriculture, this fungicide can be replaced by such preparations as Altazol, Anemone, Bumper Super, Komissar, Atlant Super, Amistar Trio, Zoltan, Alkor Super, Baliy, Virtuoz, Prognoz, Profi Super, Alto Turbo, Alpari, Kalibel, Profix, Super Doc, Capella, Skif, Thymus, Tsimus Progress, Broader, Colossal Pro, Altrum Super, Tilt, Rangoli Tsipros, Strobitek Multi.
Propishans Universal is a combination fungicide for protecting soybeans, chickpeas, peas, and potatoes from common fungal diseases. It features high penetration, fast action, and a long-lasting protective effect. It destroys many types of fungi and their spores, and the solution is not washed off by precipitation. It has an economical dosage and consumption rate, and is effective; one or two sprays are sufficient to clear plants of fungi when signs of infection are detected.
