Description of the insecticide

"Sonnet" is a concentrated emulsion containing hexaflumuron as its main ingredient. This substance rapidly destroys the chitinous covering of adult Colorado potato beetles, thereby terminating their life cycle. The insecticide also has a detrimental effect on Colorado potato beetle larvae and eggs.

The drug is available as a liquid, packaged in glass ampoules and plastic vials. Each ampoule contains 2 ml of the substance, and the vials contain 10 ml.

Sonet has low toxicity and poses no danger to humans, animals, beneficial insects, or plants. Therefore, it is recommended for farmers who strive to grow crops with environmental considerations.

The active ingredient in Sonet is also an ovicide. It destroys Colorado potato beetle egg clutches. The beetles that survive are unable to feed or reproduce.

The product affects the larvae slowly; about two hours after treatment, they begin to die. However, they stop feeding immediately after spraying.

The resulting solution is poured into a sprayer tank and applied to the potato beds. Spraying is carried out immediately after preparing the poison.

Deadlines

Spray plants with "Sonnet" early in the morning, after the dew has subsided, or in the evening, after sunset. The weather should be dry and windless.

Apply the treatment once before flowering. If it rains immediately after spraying, repeat treatment will be necessary. If rain returns two hours later, no further spraying is necessary. The product is absorbed into the foliage within the first hour and is not washed away by subsequent rainfall.

The effect of Sonet insecticide treatments lasts for 30-40 days. This is a fairly long period of time, so repeat spraying is not necessary.

1. Follow the dosage indicated on the package. If potato plants are heavily infested with pests, increasing the insecticide concentration will not be more effective.

8. After working with Sonnet, you need to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and wash your face.

Important! If any "Sonnet" solution remains after treating your garden, it must be disposed of. This can be done by digging a hole away from the garden and pouring the remaining solution into it. This disposal will not cause any harm; the solution will quickly evaporate from the soil.

What other pests does the insecticide work on?

With the help of the "Sonnet" product, you can get rid of not only the Colorado potato beetle but also several other pests. It will destroy:

• potato ladybird;
• aphids;
• spider mite;
• lily hoverfly (commonly known as firefly);
• codling moth.

Can it be combined with other products?

Concurrent treatments of potato plants with other products do not affect the effectiveness of Sonet. However, mixing two different products in the same tank is strictly prohibited.
