Seed treatments are essential for seed treatment, as they help prevent infection of seeds and plants during the germination stage. Let's review the instructions for using the Oplot seed treatment, including its composition and form, purpose, and mechanism of action. We also cover dosage and application recommendations, proper use, compatibility with other fungicides, storage conditions, and similar products.
What is included in the composition and dosage form
The manufacturer of the Oplot seed treatment, Avgust CJSC, produces it as an aqueous suspension concentrate in 5-liter canisters. It contains two active ingredients: difenoconazole at a concentration of 90 g per liter and tebuconazole at a concentration of 45 g per liter. Both substances belong to the triazole class. The seed treatment is classified as a contact and systemic pesticide. It acts as a protective, immunizing, and curative fungicide.
Mechanism of action and purpose
The product begins to work when the seeds swell. The active ingredients in Oplot are gradually absorbed by the seeds and seedlings, providing long-term protection against external and internal infections and protecting plants during germination. The fungicide does not inhibit seed germination, but accelerates photosynthetic processes and increases tillering in grain crops.
The Oplot seed treatment protects plants for 5 weeks, both the above-ground parts and the root system, from infection from the soil.
This fungicide is used to treat spring and winter wheat and barley, winter rye, and oats against various types of smut, septoria leaf spot, root and basal rot, powdery mildew, leaf spots, and seed mold. This product is also used to treat soybeans against Fusarium wilt, Fusarium root rot, Ascochyta leaf spot, Cercospora leaf spot, and seed mold.

Calculation of consumption
The dosage of "Oplot" for wheat seeds against smut, rot, mold, and powdery mildew is 0.4-0.6 l per ton, and against loose smut – 0.5-0.6 l per ton. The dosage for barley and rye is 0.5-0.6 l, for oats – 0.4-0.6 l, for soybeans – 0.5-0.6 l.
Terms of Use
Seed treatment is carried out before sowing or within a year before. Use 10 liters of solution per ton of grain seeds, and 8 liters per ton of soybean seeds. There is no waiting period for the treatment. High-quality planting material that will be stored in good conditions should be treated in advance. For pre-treatment, it is recommended to use seeds free of dust and impurities. Oplot adheres better to a clean surface, ensuring a high-quality treatment. The quality of the treatment can be verified by the intensity and uniformity of the color.

Prepare the solution just before treatment. First, mix the product and water in a container in a 1:1 ratio. Fill the sprayer tank one-third full with clean water, pour in the stock solution, and stir. Add water to the tank to reach the required volume and stir until smooth. Continue stirring while spraying the seeds. Use the entire prepared solution on the same day.
Safety precautions
Oplot is a Class 2 toxicity product, meaning it should only be handled while wearing protective clothing, a respirator, gloves, and goggles. After use, wash your face and hands, and rinse any solution off your skin if it came into contact with your body during spraying. Do not use the treatment near water bodies, and do not pour any residue down the drain. The fungicide may be hazardous to fish and other aquatic organisms.
Is compatibility possible?
"Oplot" seed treatment can be combined with other fungicidal and insecticidal agents, except those with a highly acidic or alkaline reaction. When diluting in a tank, follow the following order: wettable powder, suspension concentrate, suspension emulsion, emulsifiable concentrate, and soluble concentrate. Each component should be added only after the previous one has dissolved.

If there are many components in the mixture and their interaction is unknown, they must be tested for compatibility before dissolving.
How and how long can it be stored?
Oplot has a shelf life of 3 years in its original canisters. Storage conditions: Store in a dark, cool, ventilated, dry place. Do not store food, household products, or medications near the seed treatment. Other pesticides and fertilizers can be stored in the same container.
What to replace it with?
The Oplot seed treatment agent can be replaced with the following products: Broader, Attic, Dividend Star, Alcazar, Dinali, Oplot Trio, Amistar Gold, Dividend Extreme, Capella, Rangoli-Cursor, Discor, Amistar Top, Raek, Celeste Top, Skor, Vintage, Mystery, Dividend Supreme, Medea, Rias, Fardi, DVD Chance, Revus Top, Magnello, Diamond Super, Hat-Trick, Embrelia, Scoroshans, Idikum, and Maxim Plus. All products are used only in agriculture and are not used in private farms.

Oplot is a combined systemic seed treatment and fungicide designed to protect grain and soybeans from fungal diseases. It has a dual action—eradicating pathogens and preventing infection. It effectively controls smut, mold, rot, and other common, dangerous diseases. Its advantage lies in its optimal combination of infection control and cost.
