Fungicides are used in agriculture to kill microscopic fungi that cause crop diseases such as smut, late blight, and others. The most common fungicide is Rex Duo. This liquid is used to protect grain crops and sugar beets. This fungicide is fast-acting and long-lasting, and is safe for both crops and humans.
Composition, purpose and release form
The active ingredients of Rex Duo are epoxiconazole and thiophanate-methyl. Epoxiconazole is a broad-spectrum pesticide. It has a long-lasting effect, allowing crops to remain free of treatment for 4-6 weeks. Thiophanate-methyl is effective against powdery mildew, rust, and barley spot pathogens.
Types of funds
There are standard Rex Duo and Rex Duo Plus. The latter contains fenpropimorph, which has enhanced efficacy against powdery mildew and septoria leaf spot. Yields with Rex Plus nearly double. The fungicide is available in 10-liter bottles as a suspension that must be diluted before use.
How does the drug work?
The active ingredients of the product are absorbed differently by the leaves and stems of cereals and beets. Epoxiconazole is quickly absorbed by the plant and penetrates its interior. The substance blocks the formation of ergosterol, the main alcohol of single-celled fungi, preventing their proper development. Thiophanate-methyl prevents fungal division and the formation of cellular spores. The proliferation of harmful mycelium is completely stopped.
Pros and cons

The advantages and disadvantages of the product are summarized in a short table. The product was used in experimental fields of barley.
How to prepare a working solution
Fill the sprayer two-thirds full with clean water. Add varying amounts of fungicide depending on the desired concentration. For a stronger effect, use more. More precise amounts are provided in the fungicide's instructions. Stir the solution for 10-15 minutes and use as directed.
How to use correctly
Wheat is treated 1-2 times during the growing season. Barley scores up to 32-40 points on the Zadoksa disease scale. Sugar beets are treated only when signs of the disease are detected. If more than 5% of the crop is affected, fungicide application is useless.

Average consumption rate
The optimal application rate for fungicide per hectare of seeded field is 200 to 400 liters. Too intensive application may cause problems with grain production in the second year. Fungicide treatment slows fungal growth for no more than 30 days.
Safety precautions at work
The product is classified as low-toxic, but mandatory safety precautions must be observed. Workers must wear protective gloves, a mask or respirator, and goggles. It is advisable to change into special, waterproof overalls. At other times, the fungicide should be stored in a cool, dark place, out of the reach of children and animals.
Possible compatibility with other drugs
It is compatible with many fungicides and herbicides. Most farmers readily use the product in combination with Flexity. For a more detailed understanding of compatibility, it is recommended to carefully read the instructions before using toxic products.

Storage rules
Store the fungicide in its original packaging. Pouring it into other containers may cause oxidation of the metal or plastic and alter the product's properties. Store the bottle in a cool, dark place. Do not pour any unused product from the spray bottle back into the container. Keep the storage area out of the reach of children and animals..
Analogues
This fungicide doesn't have many analogues. Phoenix Duo, which contains flutriafol instead of epoxiconazole, is similar in potency. Quinto Duo, Kanonir Duo, and Titul Duo have similar effects on fungi.
