Untreated plants are at risk of fungal or bacterial infections, as well as viral damage. Therefore, farmers use products to protect fruit and vegetable crops, which help maintain yields. A popular product is the fungicide "Antracol," and its instructions specify how to apply it and in what quantities.
Existing forms of release and what is the fungicide intended for?
The chemical is used for preventative purposes, as well as for the treatment of most common fungal diseases that negatively impact crop quality. The active ingredient is propineb, a zinc compound. Once applied to the treated area, the component not only protects the crop but also has a beneficial effect on the soil without causing any harm.
Antracol is available for sale in granulated and powder form. It is packaged in individual packages of varying weights, from 100 grams to 15 kilogram bags.

The main component is propineb, which destroys protein enzymes involved in the reproduction of fungal spores.
The substance isolates mycelial foci, stopping the progression of the disease. The chemical acts on the surface of the foliage and stems of diseased plants.

Preparation of working solution
Prepare the solution according to the instructions on the packaging. The recommended dosage is 5-15 grams of powder per 10 liters of water. Dissolve the granules in the liquid, mix well, and allow to dissolve. Then, pour the prepared solution into a sprayer and begin the application process.
Regulations for the use of "Antracol":
- Apple trees – treatment is carried out three times per season, every week, to protect against scab and spotting.
- Protection of potatoes and tomatoes from late blight and alternaria is carried out by spraying 3 times per season with a frequency of 10 days.
- Cucumbers are treated with a working solution twice a season to combat downy mildew and gray rot.
- A solution is used for grapes to protect against pests such as mildew, gray mold, and black spot. The treatment is carried out three times per season.
Instructions for use
The prepared solution is sprayed on fruit trees and shrubs during the growing season. The procedure should be carried out in good weather, without precipitation or wind; otherwise, the product will not create a protective film, covering the plants unevenly. The effect of the solution begins two hours after spraying. Up to three sprayings per season are allowed. The application rate of the mixture is 1.5-2 kilograms per hectare of land.
Safety precautions at work
When working with the product, experts recommend wearing protective equipment: goggles, a mask, and latex gloves. After handling, it is advisable to rinse with soap and running water.
Degree of toxicity
The manufacturer lists Antracol as hazard class III on its packaging. When safety precautions are followed, the product is harmless to humans, animals, and insects. It has no adverse effects on birds or the environment.

The agrochemical "Antracol" is compatible with protective agents: "Quadris", "Proteus", "Topaz", "Topsin" and other preparations for combating fungal diseases.
Storage terms and conditions
Store the product at -20 to +40°C in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children and animals. The shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
