To grow and harvest a bountiful crop, farmers and gardeners must protect their crops not only from diseases but also from insect pests. Pests reduce the quantity and quality of harvested fruit and carry infections, so insecticides are recommended for their control. The instructions for Fascord indicate that the chemical is effective against a wide range of pests.
What is included in the composition and dosage form
The insecticide "Fascord" is a synthetic product and belongs to the pyrethroid class, characterized by its intestinal and contact action on insect pests. It contains a single active ingredient, alpha-cypermethrin, which is highly toxic to parasites. The concentration of this chemical is 100 grams per liter.
The manufacturer produces the insecticide as an emulsifiable concentrate packaged in 5- and 10-liter plastic canisters. Fascord is supplied to the agricultural market by the domestic company Shchelkovo Agrokhim JSC.
Speed, operating principle and purpose
The insecticide "Fascord" is designed to protect agricultural crops such as sugar beets, potatoes, grains, and corn from insect pests.

The list of parasites against which the chemical agent is effective includes:
- stem flies and flea beetles;
- weevils and aphids;
- thrips and leafhoppers;
- Colorado potato beetles and bugs;
- leaf miner, cutworm and leafhopper.
Like all chemicals containing pyrethroids, Fascord acts quickly, killing pests within a few hours of application. It is equally effective against both adult insects and their larvae.

When applied to agricultural crops as directed, the protective effect of the product lasts from 2 to 4 weeks. In wet or, conversely, extremely dry weather, this period is reduced to 10 days.
Farmers who have tested the chemical's performance in practice note several advantages of the insecticide that distinguish it from other insecticides. Fascord's advantages include the following:
- immediate toxic effect on pests, which leads to their death;
- a wide range of parasites against which the insecticide is effective;
- long period of protective action after treatment;
- economical consumption and relatively low cost of the drug, which is due to domestic production.
Among the insecticide's drawbacks is the potential for resistance to develop when used over several seasons. Therefore, the manufacturer recommends alternating Fascord with other products containing different active ingredients.

Flow calculation and instructions for use
Since the chemical is produced in the form of a concentrate, before use it must be diluted with water to the concentration specified in the manufacturer's instructions.
Insecticide consumption rates for different agricultural crops are shown in the table:
| Cultivated plant | Chemical consumption | Frequency and processing time |
| Cereal crops | 100 ml per hectare of field | It is permissible to carry out 2 treatments per season; plants are sprayed during the growing season. |
| Table, fodder and sugar beets | 100 ml per hectare of plantings | One treatment is recommended during the growing season of crops. |
| Potato | From 70 to 100 ml per hectare of field | Potatoes are sprayed once per season, and treatment is done at any stage of plant development. |
| Rape | From 100 to 150 ml per hectare of plantings | It is allowed to carry out 2 treatments during the growing season of the crop. |
| Flax | 100 ml per hectare of crops | One-time treatment during the growing season |
| Grape | From 160 to 240 ml per hectare of vineyard | Double treatment during the season |
| White cabbage | From 100 to 150 ml per hectare of field | The treatment is carried out no more than 2 times per season. |

Due to the product's high toxicity, the working solution must be prepared outdoors. First, prepare a stock solution by mixing a measured dose of insecticide with a small amount of clean water. Then, add half the total volume of water to the sprayer tank and the prepared solution. Stir until completely dissolved, and then add the remaining solution.
Precautionary measures
Since this pyrethroid insecticide is highly toxic, safety precautions must be followed when handling it. Protect your entire body with clothing, gloves, and a respirator. Keep children and livestock out of the treatment area. It's also a good idea to temporarily restrict bee flight.

After completing all work, be sure to shower and thoroughly wash all equipment used for spraying. If liquid accidentally comes into contact with skin or mucous membranes, rinse with running water and seek medical attention immediately.
Is compatibility possible?
Fascord can be used in tank mixes with other insecticides and fungicides. However, a chemical compatibility test is performed first, using a small amount of each chemical.
How and how long can it be stored?
Store the insecticide in separate rooms, away from feed and other food products. Keep children and pets out of its reach; the product is highly toxic and can cause significant harm to health. The manufacturer's shelf life for Fascord is 3 years from the date of manufacture.

What to replace it with
You can replace the insecticide with products such as Tsunami or Ostrog.
