According to the instructions, Tanrek is used against Colorado potato beetles, aphids, apple blossom weevils, cicadas, thrips, and whiteflies. The product is used once per season and effectively controls both adult insects and their larvae. One ampoule of the product is sufficient for treating an area of ​​100 m2.²Tanrek is combined with other insecticides and fungicides to enhance the effect.

Characteristics of the product

Tanrek is a product that penetrates plant tissue and accumulates within it. Insects die when the active ingredient enters their intestines through ingestion or contact with leaves. The product contains imidacloprid, a single-component chemical.

This chemical affects not only the Colorado potato beetle but also many other chewing insects. It is available in 1 or 2 ml ampoules, 10, 20, and 100 ml plastic bottles, and larger containers for use on large areas.

Tanrek is used for all nightshade crops, indoor plants, garden flowers, and woody fruit plants.

The principle of action of the drug

When an insect eats potato leaves or roots, it receives a toxic dose of Tanrek. It affects the beetles' nerve cells, causing paralysis. The insect becomes incapacitated within a few hours and dies completely within 24 hours.

Important! The product is effective not only on adult insects but also on larvae.

How to breed tanrek?

Dilute 1 ml of the solution in 10 liters of water. This volume is sufficient to treat 100 square meters. Dilution should be done in a plastic container. To minimize contact with the solution, it is recommended to prepare it outdoors in a bucket or sprayer.

The ampoule is poured into a container and diluted with 2 liters of water. The resulting suspension is brought to the required level. Next, spray and water the plants.

Application of the product

Treatments are carried out several times per season. Their effect lasts from 14 to 28 days. Repeated spraying is carried out only after complete confirmation of lack of effect. At least 20 days should pass between treatments. Spraying is carried out during the growing season and ceases three weeks before harvest.

Treatment should be carried out in dry weather before sunrise or sunset, as sunlight can burn leaves. The product can be used not only in open ground but also in greenhouses.

• vomit;
• drowsiness;
• apathy;
• lack of appetite;
• difficulty breathing;
• rash on exposed areas of the body.

If these symptoms occur, induce vomiting, flush the stomach with a solution of potassium permanganate, and take several tablets of activated charcoal. Rest and drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day are recommended until the symptoms subside.

Precautionary measures

To prevent poisoning when using Tanrek to treat potatoes, it is recommended to observe the following precautions:

• All work with insecticides should be carried out outdoors or in a well-ventilated area;
• When diluting the preparation, use rubber gloves;
• try not to inhale chemical vapors;
• When spraying, use rubber gloves, safety glasses, a headdress, rubber shoes, a protective plastic or cellophane apron, a respirator or face mask;

Storage conditions

According to the instructions, Tanrek should be stored at temperatures between -25 and +35°C. Choose a well-ventilated, dark, and dry place for storage.
