The Ryabchik tomato is the ideal choice for a large harvest from a standard garden plot. This plant's unique feature is that it produces large tomatoes on low-growing bushes that ripen quickly in open ground.
Description of the variety
Ryabchik is a low-growing, mid-season variety that doesn't tend to side-son, eliminating the need for pinching. It takes 100-115 days from the first shoots to full ripening. The bush is small, reaching 60-75 cm in height.

The top and bottom of the fruit are slightly flattened, giving the tomatoes a distinctive appearance. The fruit has a sweetish flavor. Ripe tomatoes are red with thin yellow veins and resemble an apple in appearance. Fruits weigh 200-300 g.
This variety is highly productive. A single cluster produces up to 5-6 large tomatoes. Because the tomatoes ripen almost simultaneously, they are not susceptible to late blight. Furthermore, they do not crack.
Fritillaria is suitable for growing outdoors and in greenhouses. The fruit's characteristics make it ideal not only for eating raw but also for making tomato juice or preserves.

Growing tomatoes
There are no special requirements for growing the Ryabchik tomato. This variety grows and develops in the same way as other tomatoes in the nightshade family.

But in order to reap a bountiful harvest at the end of the season, you need to follow general recommendations for plant care:
- Sowing. To obtain good, disease-resistant seedlings, seeds should be planted in pre-baked soil. To speed up the emergence of the first shoots after planting, the container with soil can be covered with plastic film. To prevent mold from forming in the soil, remove the film periodically. Once the young seedlings are a week old, the room temperature is set between 16 and 18°C, and after two weeks, it is raised to 22°C.
- Pricking out. After the first 2-3 leaves appear, the seedlings should be transplanted into larger pots. The bushes can be planted in the ground when 5-6 strong leaves appear. Experienced gardeners recommend transplanting seedlings several times, as this process promotes the formation and strengthening of lateral roots, which will ultimately impact the health of the bushes and the yield.
- Watering. Tomatoes aren't particularly demanding when it comes to moisture, but they should be watered regularly. The soil should not dry out, otherwise the variety description on the back of the seed package will not correspond to reality. After watering or heavy rain, the soil around the tomato bushes should be loosened.
- Fertilizing. Tomatoes of this variety can be fed with manure, chicken manure, compost, or a complex fertilizer designed for tomatoes. Fertilize the plants at least 3-4 times during the development of the bushes.

Opinion of summer residents
Gardeners' reviews of the Ryabchik variety are mostly positive. They note the following positive qualities:
- the seeds of this tomato have good germination;
- the low-growing plant is undemanding in terms of care and watering;
- The tomato pleases not only with its unusual shape, color and high yield, but also with its large, sweet-tasting fruits.

Ryabchik is practically the ideal tomato for those who are not experienced gardeners, as it is easy to care for. However, experienced gardeners also prefer this variety for its high yield.
