The Champion f1 tomato was bred by Ukrainian specialists. This variety is recommended for outdoor cultivation but can also be grown in greenhouses. The Champion-M hybrid is resistant to fungal diseases.

During the growing season, bushes with strong stems, 170-200 cm tall, develop. The variety's characteristics and description classify it as a mid-early tomato. The hybrid begins to bear fruit 100-105 days after seed germination.

Description of fruits:

• Ripe tomatoes are intense red in colour and slightly flattened and round in shape.
• The average fruit weight is 160-200 g.
• Champion f1 tomatoes vary in weight during the first harvest, reaching 300–350 g.

Tomatoes store well without changing their taste or appearance, and they can be transported long distances. Fruits harvested at the technical ripeness stage can ripen within 1–1.5 months.

Cultivation techniques

For this purpose, it's best to use peat containers to avoid damaging the root system during transplantation. This will allow the plant to quickly establish itself and adapt to the new conditions.

Planting is done with a 50 cm spacing between bushes and a 40 cm spacing between rows. Using this scheme, 3-4 bushes are planted per square meter. It is recommended to add compost to the holes.

To ensure high crop yields, crop rotation requirements must be taken into account. The best predecessors are zucchini, cucumbers, cauliflower, and carrots.

Tomatoes of this variety are sensitive to soil mineral composition. To ensure vigorous growth and abundant fruit production, potassium and organic fertilizers are recommended.

Mulching the soil ensures a balanced air and moisture environment around the root system and prevents weed growth. Tomato seeds are not collected for planting next season, as the second-generation hybrid is of superior quality.
