Many gardeners ask how to grow the Konfetka tomato. Tomatoes are one of the most beloved vegetables in our country, but most varieties are very labor-intensive to grow, so not all gardeners plant this crop in their gardens. Every year, breeders around the world develop numerous tomato varieties that require little effort to grow.
Below we will look at two varieties of tomatoes with very tasty names: Konfetka and Medovaya Konfetka F1 tomato.
Description of the tomato Konfetka
The Konfetka variety is described as follows: this variety is mid-season, with the first tomatoes ready to harvest less than four months after planting. It is considered a low-growing variety: plants rarely grow taller than 1 meter.
The plant belongs to a small group of tomatoes called seedless, among which the Casanova, Pink Giant, and Mother-in-Law's Gift varieties stand out. While they do contain seeds, they produce very few. This characteristic ensures that all the rich, sweet flavor of the tomatoes remains in the pulp rather than being transferred to the seeds.
Konfetka tomato seeds are factory-treated to prevent certain diseases that often affect this crop, preventing gardeners from ever getting a decent harvest.

The fruits are round or flat-round in shape, have a thin skin and a rich red hue, the average weight of each of them is 120-300 g. The yield of the variety is high: 1 bunch of plants can form up to 15 fruits.
The fruits are suitable for all types of processing, including canning, pickling, making juices, pastes, and sauces.

Description of the Honey Candy tomato
The characteristics and description of the "Honey Candy" tomato variety, along with reviews and photos, can be found below and online. This hybrid was developed by Russian breeders only in 2005, but over the years it has gained immense popularity among gardeners, especially given the fact that it can be grown not only in greenhouses but also in open ground.
The seeds are produced by the well-known Russian company "SeDeK".
This tomato is mid-season: the first tomatoes are ready for harvesting just 3.5 months after planting the seeds, while its height does not exceed 1 m.
The variety has a high yield: from one bush you can get 2-4 kg of bright yellow tomatoes, each weighing on average about 70-90 g.
Tomatoes can be stored fresh for a long time and are also easy to transport over long distances.
It is advisable to eat the fruits in the form of salads or canned; they are not suitable for making pastes, sauces, or juice.

The seeds undergo careful treatment against various diseases, but despite this, tomatoes of this variety can be susceptible to the influence of phomosis (brown rot), which occurs due to the influence of fungal microorganisms.
To prevent the disease from spreading to the entire crop, carefully remove the affected fruits and destroy them, and treat the plants themselves with one of the following preparations according to the instructions included with them:
- Fundazol.
- Home.
- Barrier.
- Bordeaux mixture.
- Oxyhom.
In addition to diseases, tomatoes can be susceptible to certain pests:
- mole crickets,
- slugs,
- whiteflies.
Pest control methods:
- drug "Gnome";
- a solution of dry mustard and hot pepper with water, prepared in a ratio of 1:1:1;
- the drug "Confidor".

Gardeners' reviews
Those who have planted the "Konfetka" tomato have left positive reviews. An avid gardener left the following review of the "Honey Candy" tomato on the manufacturer's website, along with a photo of the harvested crop.
Larisa Ivanovna, 52 years old, Moscow:
"I decided to plant this variety of tomatoes last season. I grew them in open ground. The yield was high. Each bush was completely covered with elongated, honey-colored fruits. I harvested until mid-September. A sudden, mild frost in September didn't cause any damage to the plants or fruits of this variety, although seedlings of other tomato varieties were immediately killed. The tomatoes taste excellent. We made salads with them every day, and I canned a lot for the winter. I recommend everyone plant 'Honey Candy'—you won't regret it!"
