Instructions for use and composition of the fungicide Kurzat, application rates and analogues

Crop diseases negatively impact the yield and quality of fruits and vegetables. To combat pathogens, home gardeners and farmers use chemicals that help quickly cure plants. The instructions recommend using the fungicide "Kurzat" to combat late blight, mildew, and dry spot of potatoes.

Composition and existing forms of release

This protective contact fungicide consists of two active ingredients that enhance and complement each other's action. These are copper oxychloride at a concentration of 689.5 grams per 1 kg of fungicide and cymoxanil at a concentration of 42 grams per 1 kg of fungicide. Kurzat is packaged in 5-kilogram bags. It is formulated as a wettable powder.

Mechanism of action and purpose of the fungicide

Thanks to its two active ingredients, this fungicide provides reliable plant protection against many pathogenic microorganisms. Cymoxanide quickly penetrates plant tissue and encapsulates infected cells, thereby halting disease progression. Its even distribution across stems and leaves prevents pathogens from spreading to all parts of the plant.

Copper oxychloride acts as a contact agent and protects crops from the outside. Both components have both therapeutic and preventative properties and are particularly effective when used in the early stages of diseases.

Advantages of the product

Summer residents who used "Kurzat" on their garden plots highlighted several advantages of the product.

Pros and cons
Uniform distribution on both the upper and lower sides of the leaves, thereby killing all pathogenic microorganisms.
Antisporulating and medicinal properties.
Effective against all strains of late blight, unlike systemic fungicides.

Preparation of the working mixture

In order for the drug to have an effect on pathogens, it is necessary to correctly calculate the rate of fungicide and prepare a working solution.

For potatoes

To combat potato dry spot and late blight, prepare the following solution. Add 50 grams of powder to 10 liters of clean water and stir until completely dissolved. Use 5 liters of the working solution per 100 square meters of garden space. Apply three times, spaced two weeks apart.

For onions

Onion crops are sprayed to kill the pathogens that cause downy mildew. Use 50-60 grams of "Kurzat" per 10 liters of water. Take 5 liters of the working solution and treat 100 square meters of the field. Repeat the treatment 3-4 times at two-week intervals.

For grapes

To treat vineyards against mildew, apply 25-30 grams of powder per 10-liter bucket of water. Use 10 liters of solution per 100 square meters. Apply 3-4 sprays at 12-day intervals.

For tomatoes

Tomato plants are treated with Kurzat at the first signs of downy mildew and late blight. For downy mildew, apply 30 grams per 10 liters of water; for late blight, apply 50 grams per 10-liter bucket.

To combat downy mildew, 20 liters of solution are sprayed per 100 square meters; to combat late blight, 5 liters is sufficient for the same plantation.

For cucumbers

"Kurzat" helps kill downy mildew pathogens on cucumbers planted outdoors. Use 30 grams of powder per 10-liter container of water. Apply 10 liters of the working solution to a 100-square-meter planting. Repeat the spraying three times, 10 days apart.
