This systemic and contact fungicide, developed by American specialists, contains the active ingredient proquinazid, with a concentration of 200 grams per liter. Talendo is available as an emulsifiable concentrate packaged in 1-liter jars. Due to the ease of purchasing small quantities, it is popular not only with farmers but also with gardeners with small plots.
The chemical is most often used to prevent and treat powdery mildew, which attacks grapes. However, the instructions indicate that it is also effective against powdery mildew on apple trees.
How does the product work?
The active ingredient, which ensures the product's effectiveness, prevents pathogen penetration into crop cells. The fungicide's unique property, which has earned it popularity among gardeners, is the creation of a gas cloud after treatment, which also protects untreated parts of the crop. The protective radius is 20 cm from the plant.
Advantages and disadvantages
Gardeners and farmers who have tested the fungicide's performance in practice have identified several advantages of the product.
Gardeners consider the high cost of the drug to be a disadvantage, which is associated with the imported production of the chemical.
Calculation of consumption for different plants
Before starting work, read the instructions for use, which indicate the optimal dosage. Exceeding the recommended dosage can have negative effects on crops.

How to prepare the working mixture and application instructions
The instructions recommend preparing the working solution immediately before spraying plants. Fill the sprayer tank halfway with water and add the prescribed amount of product. Turn on the agitator and wait until the emulsion is completely dissolved. Then add water until the tank is full and mix thoroughly again.
To treat 1 hectare of vineyard or orchard, 1,000 liters of the working solution is required. Any remaining liquid after spraying should not be poured into water bodies. Dispose of the chemical according to safety regulations.
Preventative treatments are carried out throughout May, with subsequent treatments occurring at two-week intervals. Work begins early in the morning or evening, in clear and dry weather. Rain falling two hours after spraying does not reduce the effectiveness of the chemical.
Precautionary measures
All work—from preparing the solution to treating plants—must be performed wearing protective clothing, including overalls, gloves, and a headscarf. To prevent chemical vapor from damaging the respiratory tract, use a mask or respirator.
After finishing work, be sure to shower with soap and wash your clothes. If chemicals come into contact with your eyes, rinse them with running water and seek medical attention.
Phytotoxicity
Cases of phytotoxicity were recorded only when the dosage was exceeded or when weakened plants were treated.
Possible compatibility
The fungicide "Talendo" is approved for use with most other products. Before use, conduct a chemical compatibility test using a small amount of each product.
Storage terms and conditions
The shelf life of the product in its original packaging is 2 years. Store the chemical in a utility room at a temperature no higher than 35 degrees Celsius.

If necessary, replace the drug with an analogue - "Talendo Extra", which additionally contains another active component, or with any fungicide with a similar effect.
