The herbicide "Euroland" is an effective systemic product designed to protect sunflowers from various weeds. This compound is considered part of the renowned "Clean Field" technology. Composition, dosage form and purpose
1 liter of the preparation contains the following active ingredients:
- 33 grams of imazamox;
- 15 grams of imazapyr.
The product is produced as a concentrate that can be mixed with water. It is sold in 5-liter canisters.
Operating principle
The active ingredients of the product enter the weeds through shoots and foliage. The substance also penetrates the roots from the soil. The compound is transported through the phloem and xylem to the growing points. In these areas, the substance disrupts amino acid production. This causes stunting of the plant, death of the growing points, and subsequent death of the weeds.
Symptoms of damage appear as chlorotic and anthocyanin fragments in plants. Weed growth ceases within a few hours of application. However, noticeable symptoms of the herbicide's effect do not appear immediately after application. Complete weed death occurs 3-6 weeks after application.

The drug helps to cope with dicotyledonous and cereal weeds.
Advantages of the drug
The main advantages of the product include the following:
- soil and systemic effect;
- destruction of various types of weeds;
- the possibility of destroying almost all races of sunflower worms;

- Resistance to precipitation – if it rains 1 hour after spraying, the effectiveness of the substance will not decrease.
After using the substance, it is permissible to grow sunflower, rapeseed, and corn, which are resistant to this brand's herbicides.
Calculation of consumption
The product is applied by ground spraying. When treating sunflowers, 1-1.2 liters of concentrate per hectare is required. It is recommended to apply the concentrate at the four-leaf stage of the crop and during the early stages of weed growth.
Preparation of the working mixture
When using very soft water to prepare the working fluid, it is recommended to take a minimum volume of herbicide - 1 liter per 1 hectare.
Instructions for use
The product should be applied when the crop has 2-8 true leaves. It's best to apply it when the plant has 4-6 true leaves. Effective broomrape control is achieved when applied when the plant has 2-4 true leaves.
When using a herbicide, it is recommended to adhere to the following rules:
- Weeds at the stage of active growth are sprayed when 3 leaves appear for cereal plants, including perennial cereals that germinate from seeds, and before 4 true leaves appear for dicotyledonous annuals.
- Artemisia ragweed can be successfully controlled by applying the product at the cotyledon stage, when the first pair of true leaves emerge.
Factors that influence microbiological activity and the rate of component degradation are also important. The following parameters should be considered:
- Humidity. The minimum moisture level for increased microbiological degradation is 200 millimeters. The breakdown of active components is enhanced when the moisture level is as close as possible to the soil's full capacity.
- pH. The effectiveness of Euroland increases with decreasing soil pH. The amount of rainfall between application and planting the next crop is also important. Insufficient rainfall may result in incomplete breakdown of the active ingredient in the soil.
- Temperature. Optimal temperatures range from 10 to 22 degrees Celsius. If temperatures drop, the product's effectiveness slows. This is due to decreased microbiological activity. A prolonged period of low temperatures slows the breakdown of the herbicide and increases crop rotation risks. Consequently, the herbicide may negatively impact subsequent plant susceptibility.
Precautionary measures
The herbicide should be applied at least two weeks before sunflower planting. The following guidelines are recommended:
- prevent the substance and its residues from entering water bodies;
- use protective skin care products, despite the low toxicity of the substance;
- In case of contact with skin, wash off the composition with plenty of soapy water.
How toxic is it?
The drug is classified as a low-hazard substance for humans and bees. It belongs to hazard class 3.
Possible compatibility
When using the drug, you should follow these rules:
- Do not combine Euroland with other herbicides, including anti-cereal ones.
- Do not make combination formulations, including fertilizers and growth stimulants.
- Do not use inhibitors before and after using the substance.
- Apply Euroland no earlier than 2 weeks after herbicides that have a continuous effect.
- During the entire season after spraying the substance, the use of organophosphorus agents is prohibited.
How long can it be stored and how to store it properly?
The product can be stored at temperatures ranging from -5 to +35 degrees Celsius. It is recommended to store it in a dark place. The shelf life of the product is 36 months.
