This multi-component weed control product protects cereal crops from weeds. Its oil-dispersible form allows it to adhere easily to leaves, forming a film on them that is resistant to rain or wind.

"Secator-Turbo" is produced by the German company Bayer, a manufacturer of chemical and pharmaceutical products dating back to 1863. The herbicide contains:

25 grams/liter iodosulfuron-methyl sodium;
100 grams/liter amidosulfuron;
250 grams/liter of mephenpyrdiethyl.

Mefenpyrdiethyl in the product acts as an antidote, reducing the toxic effects of the product's components on crops, making it safe for consumers to use. The product is packaged in 1-liter plastic bottles and canisters. Instructions for use are provided, indicating recommended doses depending on the crop type.

Spectrum of action

The herbicide "Secator-Turbo" is a highly selective product used against annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds (such as field thistle, tartary buckwheat, field forget-me-not, common sedge, and others) in cereal fields. It is also used to protect corn, barley, oilseed flax, flaxseed, and spring and winter wheat crops. It can be used for ground spraying and aerial application.

"Turbo Secateurs" is absorbed by weed leaves within 2 hours and penetrates less intensively through the root system of plants.

How quickly does it start working?

The oil-dispersion mixture does not roll off leaves and is completely absorbed by weed leaves within 2 hours of spraying. Penetration into the growing points stops plant growth. Yellowing of the leaves is observed within 1-2 weeks, and after 3-5 weeks, the weeds completely die off.

Preparation of working solution

The working solution is prepared in special areas. The sprayer tank is half-filled with water. The herbicide container is vigorously shaken to mix, then the concentrate is added to the water. The solution in the tank is stirred again, and the remaining water is added.

The consumption rate of the Sekator-Turbo herbicide working solution ranges from 200 to 300 liters per hectare, depending on crop density and weed pressure. For aerial ULV (ultra-low-volume) spraying, the application rate is 5 liters per hectare.

Instructions for use

Spraying is best done in dry, cloudy weather. The application rate of the concentrate depends on the crop being sprayed. The dosage must be strictly adhered to.

Reducing the concentration of the working solution will not allow the field to be completely cleared of weeds, while increasing it is dangerous for the consumer.

Safety precautions at work

When preparing the working solution and treating crops, wear thick clothing with long sleeves. Wear rubber boots, with trousers untucked or rolled up. Cover your hair with a cap or scarf.

Rubber gloves and safety glasses are required. If the concentrate or working solution comes into contact with skin, rinse the affected area with running water. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Degree of phytotoxicity

Treating fields during periods of low temperatures in barley causes a decrease in color intensity, which is restored within 5-8 days without causing any harm to the crop.

Possible compatibility

The Turbo Secateurs are compatible with most fertilizers, insecticides, and growth stimulants. When preparing tank mixes, the herbicide is added first, followed by the other components. Using such multi-component solutions reduces labor costs for crop care.

Does it affect subsequent crops in the crop rotation?

Next season, avoid planting root crops, sunflowers, legumes, and buckwheat in areas treated with the herbicide. The color intensity of the first leaves of winter rapeseed sown in place of grain may be reduced. This does not harm the crop.

Storage rules and shelf life

The product has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture. Store at temperatures ranging from -5 to +30°C. Keep tightly closed, away from food, and out of the reach of people and pets.
