The active ingredient is glyphosate acid, which is available as an isopropylamine salt. One liter contains 360 grams of the substance. The product is produced as an aqueous solution and is sold in 20-liter canisters.

How does the product work?

This product is a herbicide with either systemic or selective action. It helps control perennial, annual, and grass weeds during the growing season.

The product targets the foliage of harmful plants. As a result, above-ground fragments and roots die. The active ingredient does not accumulate in the soil structure. Therefore, the living soil layer is restored relatively quickly, occurring within 2-3 years.

The substance's mechanism of action is based on the suppression of phenylalanine synthesis and the inhibition of chlorismate mutase or prephenate dehydratase. When released into the soil, the product forms chelates with heavy metals and becomes biologically inert.

When applied to weeds, the herbicide is absorbed by the leaves and transported throughout the crop. Since the substance inhibits amino acid production, this causes plant death. Residues are washed into the soil with precipitation. The plant's root system does not absorb the active ingredient from the soil.

In what dosages is it used?

To make the solution, take 50 milliliters of the product and mix it with 5 liters of water. This amount is enough for 100 square meters of land. However, 1 hectare requires 200-400 liters of working solution.

Precautionary measures

When using the herbicide, do not allow the substance or working fluid to enter sewers, water bodies, or the ground surface. Wells and other sources of drinking water must be covered.

The product poses virtually no risk to bees. However, crops should be treated in the morning or evening. This should be done at wind speeds of up to 4-5 meters per second when using aerial methods. The air temperature should be between 12 and 25 degrees Celsius. The bee-friendly zone should be at least 2-3 kilometers.

First aid for poisoning with a drug depends on the area of its impact:

If the herbicide comes into contact with your skin, carefully remove it with a cloth and rinse the area thoroughly with clean running water.
If the composition gets into your eyes, rinse them with clean running water.
If the substance enters the respiratory system, remove the victim from the area of action and rinse their mouth with warm water. If breathing becomes difficult, give them ammonia to sniff.
If the substance gets into the mouth, give the victim an activated charcoal solution to drink, then induce vomiting. Do not induce vomiting if the victim has lost consciousness. In this situation, seek immediate medical attention.

There is no specific antidote for this agent. Symptomatic treatment is necessary to alleviate the effects of poisoning.
