Milagro herbicide is a systemic product used to control perennial and annual grass weeds. It also helps kill dominant broadleaf grasses. To ensure the desired results, strictly follow the instructions. Adherence to safety precautions is also crucial.
Composition, dosage form and purpose
The active ingredient in this product is nicosulfuron. One liter of the herbicide contains 240 grams of the active ingredient. The product is available as a suspension concentrate and is sold in 1-liter containers.
Mechanism of action
Milagro has a selective effect. Even a double dose in the working solution does not harm corn. However, it is advisable to conduct a preliminary phytotoxicity test of the areas to be treated.
If the instructions are followed, resistance does not develop. A distinctive feature of this herbicide is that it only affects plants that have sprouted at the time of application. Therefore, to kill any grass that has emerged after chemical application, cultivate between the rows. This should be done after 1.5-2 weeks.

How quickly does it work?
The product is fast-acting. After application, weed growth stops within 6 hours. The final death of unwanted vegetation occurs within a week. These timeframes are appropriate under favorable conditions.
However, they can increase in the following cases:
- unfavorable climatic conditions - during processing and at the initial stage of the substance's action;
- the peak of physiological maturation of the weed - the period also increases if it is at the stage of confidently achieving it.
Under unfavourable conditions, the maximum period required to control weeds is considered to be 3 weeks.

How long does the effect last?
The protective effect lasts for 1.5-2 months. More precise timing can be determined during the growing season. It depends on the following factors:
- types of weeds;
- stage of development of unwanted vegetation;
- weather conditions during herbicide application.
Advantages and disadvantages
The main advantages of the drug include the following:
- Selective effect on crops. It is the most pronounced of all known sulfonylurea agents. The compound can be applied when the crop has 3-10 leaves.
- Destruction of all grass weeds with roots, including perennials. This also applies to couch grass and rhizomes.
- High efficiency even in drought conditions.
- Excellent compatibility with other herbicides for the control of broadleaf weeds.
- No aftereffect on subsequent plants in crop rotation.

Calculation of consumption
The dosage of the drug is given in the table:
| Culture | Weeds | Dosage, liters per 1 hectare | Introduction phase |
| Corn | Annual and perennial cereal weeds | 0.16-0.2 | Spraying of plantings is required at the stage of appearance of 3-10 leaves of the crop. |
How to prepare a working mixture
The working solution must be prepared before spraying. To do this, fill half the sprayer tank with clean water and turn on the agitator. Then, gradually fill the tank with the solution.
It's important to keep the mixer running while spraying crops. This helps maintain the homogeneity of the product. If Milagro is to be combined with other pesticides, it should be added after the SP and WDG. In this case, the product is used before the SC and EC.

To ensure successful use of combinations of different formulations, it is important to adhere to the following recommendations:
- the next component cannot be added until the previous one is completely dissolved;
- If there is an ingredient in a package that dissolves in water, it should be added first;
- The prepared solution must be used on the day of preparation.
Instructions for use
The product is recommended for use in corn fields. It can be applied between the 3rd and 10th leaf stage of crops. Treatment is carried out during the period of active weed and corn growth.
To ensure maximum effectiveness, do not use the product in hot or cold weather. Also, do not use if weeds are flattened.
The optimal temperature for applying Milagro is 15-25 degrees Celsius. It is also important to monitor soil and air humidity.

Spraying is recommended early in the morning or evening. This should be done in calm weather. During field treatment, care must be taken to ensure the substance does not come into contact with nearby crops.
No field work should be carried out for one week before and after applying the solution. However, cultivation can begin after 10-14 days.
Safety precautions
Despite the low toxicity of the product, safety precautions must be observed when using it. When preparing and applying the working solution, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator, goggles, and gloves. After completing work, wash your hands and face thoroughly with soap.
Degree of toxicity
The product belongs to hazard class 3, meaning it is considered a low-toxicity substance.

Is compatibility possible?
The product can be combined in tank mixes with other herbicides. Milagro combines well with the following substances:
- Lancelot;
- Prima;
- "Esteron";
- Callisto;
- "Peak";
- "Dialen Super".
However, Milagro should not be combined with lentagran and basagran. These mixtures cause leaf burn. Combining the product with 2,4-D-based herbicides will not help control grass weeds. This is due to the antagonism between the components. Milagro should also not be used if corn seeds or crops have been treated with organophosphorus agents.

How to store it correctly and for how long
The product is recommended to be stored at temperatures between 0 and 35 degrees Celsius. The herbicide can be stored for up to 4 years from the date of production. This should be done in sealed, original packaging.
The product should be stored separately from food, pet food, chemicals, and fertilizers. It is recommended to store the herbicide in a dry, well-ventilated area.
