Weeds are difficult to control in garden plots and fields, as these plants are highly resilient and adapt to various regional conditions. Therefore, new pest control products are entering the agricultural market. The selective herbicide "Otlichnik" helps combat the problem, successfully clearing plots of both annual and perennial weeds.
Composition and existing forms of release
The main component is quizalofop-P-ethyl, at a concentration of 51.6 grams per liter. It is available as an emulsifiable concentrate in 2- and 10-milliliter ampoules.
How does it work and what plants does it affect?
This agrochemical kills weeds without affecting the crop. In vegetable crops, it eradicates most weed species. The active ingredient penetrates the foliage and roots, dispersing within the plant and destroying plant tissue within a week.
In the soil, the mechanism of action continues for a month, after which the preparation breaks down into simple formulas and has no destructive effect.
Advantages of herbicide
Another advantage is its ease of use. The pesticide is suitable for small areas.
Calculation of consumption for different plants
Average chemical consumption rate:
| Culture | Pests | Processing method | Consumption rate, ml |
| Vegetable crops | Annuals | Spraying after the appearance of 2-6 leaves before tillering | 2 ml per 200-600 ml of water |
| Perennial cereals, wheatgrass | Spraying during the growth phase of plants at a height of 10-15 cm | 2 ml per 300 ml of water | |
| Potato | Annual and perennial weeds | Treatment in the phase of 2-4 leaves emergence | 2 ml per 200 ml of water |
This amount is enough to cultivate 100 square meters of land.

Preparation of working solution
To ensure effective results, it's important to properly prepare the working solution. Use only clean water. The mixture should be prepared in a container not intended for food preparation. Pour water into the prepared container and add the chemical.
Instructions for use
Spraying requires application in cloudy, windless, and precipitation-free weather. It's important to prevent the solution from spreading to adjacent crops. Avoid allowing the area to become wet, as the liquid will wash away the herbicide, rendering it ineffective.
The instructions for use include temperature recommendations. In hot weather, the effect will be negligible. Therefore, it is recommended to perform the procedure at an optimal temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.

Security measures
"Otlichnik" is classified as a low-hazard substance, but precautions should not be ignored when using it. Safety guidelines include:
- use of protective clothing, respirator, headgear and gloves;
- Before work, check the serviceability of the sprayer;
- It is prohibited to eat, smoke, or drink liquids during spraying;
- After the procedure, you must take off your clothes, take a shower, wash and disinfect the working container;
- Work must not be carried out in windy weather.
Children, pregnant and lactating women, and animals are prohibited from being in the treated area.

Degree of toxicity
The pesticide belongs to hazard class 3, so it is considered low-risk to humans and pollinated insects. When used correctly, it does not pose any harm to health or the environment.
Storage conditions
The shelf life is 3 years. Store the chemical in a designated area, away from food and household items. During storage, the herbicide should be kept in a tightly sealed container at a temperature of up to +50°C.
