The oily component of the herbicide creates a stable film on the surface of weed leaves. The product spreads well over the surface and penetrates tissue. It inhibits weeds in the early stages of development, destabilizes protein metabolism and photosynthesis, inhibits cell division and tissue growth, and inhibits the formation of a waxy layer.

How long does the effect last?

The herbicidal action of Biceps Garant lasts 4-8 days. Initially, weeds are lightened and then discolored to the chlorotic stage. The plants dry out and wilt, dying completely within 2-3 weeks. Weeds should be sprayed immediately after preparing the solution. Application timing depends on the weed's development stage.

Calculation of consumption for different plants

For spraying weeds at the cotyledon stage, the application rate is 1 liter per hectare. The number of treatments is 3, with an interval of 1-2 weeks between each. The liquid consumption rate is 200 liters per hectare. For treating beet crops at the 2-4 leaf stage of weeds, the application rate is 1.5 liters per hectare. The solution consumption rate is the same as the number of treatments.

For spraying at the 4-leaf stage of beets, the application rate is 3 liters per hectare, consumption is 200 liters per hectare, spraying once.

How to prepare a working mixture

Mix the liquid in the canister. Fill the sprayer with water to half the volume, add the product as directed, and mix until smooth. Add water to the required volume. Stir the liquid in the tank to maintain uniformity while spraying.

Instructions for use

Spray at temperatures between 5 and 25°C. The product is most effective at temperatures between 10 and 25°C. Moist soil significantly increases the effectiveness of ethofumesate, while dry soil rich in organic matter reduces its activity. It is not recommended to spray beets after frost, extreme heat, weakened by diseases and pests, or after cultivation if the plants are damaged.

It is not recommended to spray the herbicide after dew or before rain. Timely application is essential for the effectiveness of Biceps Garant. Weeds should not be allowed to overgrow and become resistant to the chemicals.

Safety precautions

When working with the solution, wear protective clothing that covers all parts of the body, a respirator, goggles with side shields, and heavy rubber gloves. Do not eat, smoke, or drink. After working, wash your face and hands with soap and water, and rinse your clothes and the sprayer.

How toxic is it?

The herbicide has a hazard class of 3 for humans and bees. Do not spray beet fields near bodies of water, as the product is toxic to aquatic life and fish. It is non-toxic to cultivated plants when used in the permitted concentration. Poisoning with Biceps Garant is rare, but possible. First aid: take several activated charcoal tablets, wash down with water, and induce vomiting. If the condition does not improve, seek medical attention immediately. If splashed on skin or in eyes, rinse the affected area with water for 15 minutes.

Possible compatibility

Biceps Garant can be tank-mixed with other herbicides. To enhance its effectiveness, add products such as Hacker, Miura, Pilot, and others. If precise compatibility data is difficult to find, test the compatibility of pesticides by mixing a small amount in a separate container. If there is no significant reaction, the products can be mixed in a sprayer.

How and how long can it be stored?

Store "Biceps Garant" in a dry, dark place at temperatures ranging from -10 to +40°C. Under these conditions, the herbicide has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture. Store only in sealed industrial packaging. Dispose of the product after the expiration date. Do not store the prepared solution for more than 24 hours; discard any leftovers. Keep children and animals away from the product.
