The Atlantis f1 cucumber is an early, high-yielding hybrid. It can be grown without trellises, as it grows tall. It is officially included in the Russian Register. This variety is pollinated by bees. Growing cucumbers outdoors is recommended, as this will result in early and abundant harvests.
Atlantis cucumbers were first developed by a large Dutch company that develops new varieties for small farms. The advantage of this company's products is that the varieties they develop are disease-resistant, and Atlantis is no exception.
What is Atlantis?
The Atlantis variety grows densely. If the necessary light is insufficient, the cucumbers may become noticeably elongated. Fruit quality depends largely on the soil, so it's important to prepare it properly before planting: add sand, sawdust, peat, compost, and fertilizer.

For Atlantis f1 cucumbers, the description and characteristics of the fruits are as follows:
- length - from 10 to 15 cm;
- width - from 2 to 5 cm;
- cylindrical, prickly;
- rich flavor, late fruits can be a little bitter
- medium juicy pulp.
Seeds should be planted in warm soil. Watering generously in the first few days after planting will benefit the plants. Atlantis has a large root system, so it's not recommended to plant this variety as seedlings. However, there is an advantage to this method: planting as seedlings will significantly improve the harvest time; you'll be able to enjoy your cucumbers 1.5 weeks earlier.

The first harvest can be collected after 43 days. Fruiting lasts 90-100 days.
Soil quality affects the yield of this variety, so it's a good idea to fertilize it before planting. The Atlantis variety grows well in shaded areas.
The advantages of the Atlantis variety include:
- initial high yield;
- long-term storage;
- resistance to most diseases;
- resistance to temperature changes.

Disadvantages of the variety:
- not particularly suitable for canning;
- we cannot do without pollination by bees;
- Producers do not treat seeds.
We conclude that Atlantis cucumbers are best grown on a small plot of land and eaten fresh.
How to grow cucumbers?
Atlantis requires fertile soil. High soil moisture is also essential. The temperature should be approximately 18ºC, as pollination slows at temperatures above 20ºC. The best time to sow seeds is early to mid-May; if the region is warm, then sowing seeds outdoors is done in late April.

From sowing to fruit ripening, the period is 47-49 days. Seedlings can appear as early as 3-4 days. The Atlantis variety adapts well to various climate conditions: if the nighttime temperature drops to +5ºC, the first harvest can be harvested slightly later, whereas with other varieties, growth almost stops with large temperature fluctuations.
After the second shoots appear (this occurs 12-14 days later), a trellis is installed. Yields can reach 7.5 kg per square meter. Planting cucumbers in a plot previously used for growing potatoes, beans, onions, and tomatoes will increase the yield.
Before sowing the seeds, you need to cultivate the soil, first of all, you need to loosen it.
If the soil is clayey or sandy, it needs to be mixed with a wood base or peat.
When sowing in open ground, the distance between plants should be 18-20 cm and 30 cm with trellises, and in greenhouses, also 30 cm; the distance between rows should be 45-65 cm, taking into account that the trellis is 70-80 cm. The depth for seeds should not exceed 3-4 cm.
After the first stepsons appear (on the 7-9th day), mulching is carried out with wood sawdust.
To reduce the risk of root rot, you should first treat the seeds with a solution of potassium permanganate.
When planting seeds, use up to 15 liters of water per 1 m²; after the first fruits appear, at least 15 liters should be used for irrigation; watering is necessary every 3 days.
Since Atlantis cucumbers are disease-resistant, they should only be treated against root rot. However, they should also be sprayed with copper sulfate as a preventative measure once the plants reach maturity.
It is advisable to harvest the fruits every 3-4 days to ensure they are larger; it is recommended to water the cucumbers before harvesting.
Gardeners' reviews of this variety are positive. They note the high yield and excellent taste of this cucumber variety.
