The preparation method is quite simple, and by adding additional ingredients, you can create a compote that is not only healthy but also delicious.
Cooking Features

- Don't stock up on the drink in large quantities. Micronutrients and vitamins will be fully preserved in compote prepared in small batches.
- It is recommended to use only enameled cookware with a capacity of no more than 2 liters.
- If you pour the finished compote into bottles and cool it for a while in the refrigerator, the drink will acquire a bright and rich taste.
- There are many recipes for dried fruit compote. Some are classic, with prunes as the only main ingredient. However, by adding dried apricots, cherries, raisins, apples, or lemon, you can create a wonderful vitamin-rich cocktail.
Selecting and preparing the main ingredient
To prepare the drink, you need to select well-dried, unrotted, and moldy dried fruits. Prunes are available with and without pits. If you plan to eat the dried plums after making the drink, it's best to buy pitted ones.
Before cooking, dried fruit must be thoroughly washed. To do this, place the fruit in a bowl of cool water for 10-15 minutes.
