The popular Ural Giant tomato series comprises four varieties of different colors. These tomatoes share similar bush sizes and large, sweet fruits.
Advantages of the variety
Salad tomatoes vary in color, are sweet in taste, and have fleshy flesh. The characteristics and descriptions of classic giant tomato varieties are based on their resistance to cracking and heat. To experience the full range of tomato flavors, it is recommended to plant all four color varieties.

Description of fruits:
- The pulp of the fruit is sugary, like that of a watermelon, grainy when broken, juicy, and melts in your mouth.
- Red tomatoes contain record amounts of lycopene.
- Pink tomatoes have a rich, sweet flavor.
- The orange and yellow fruits, which have a rich, piquant taste, contain carotene.
The declared varieties are presented on the market by the agricultural firm "Uralskiy Dachnik", which creates healthy hybrids for cultivation in Siberia and the Urals under risky agricultural conditions.
The Ural Giant variety attracts vegetable growers with its high adaptability to weather conditions and microclimate. The plants are ecologically flexible, so they can be grown in any region where soil can be cultivated.

The variety's tolerance to low temperatures allows it to be grown outdoors in cold regions of the country. Meanwhile, its adaptation to warmer temperatures allows it to be grown in hot greenhouses and outdoors in southern Russia.
The Ural giant is characterized by a medium fruiting period, as the formation of large tomatoes requires considerable time. The bushes' unlimited growth potential provides the plant with a high yield potential.
During the growing season, a strong trunk develops; the plant reaches a height of 1.5–2 m. The bush constantly strives to form and develop new flower stalks. Each cluster produces 3–5 ovaries, which develop into round, lightly ribbed fruits.
The tall stems of the bushes become deformed under the weight of the fruit, so timely tying to a support is required to strengthen them.
When cut horizontally, multiple chambers containing seeds are visible. Ural Giant tomatoes reach a weight of 800 g. Salad tomatoes are not suitable for long-term storage, so it is recommended to process part of the harvest into tomato paste and lecho.
Cultivation techniques
To obtain a high yield, it is necessary to take into account the rules of agricultural technology for growing tall tomatoes, promptly form bushes into 1-2 stems, and place 3 plants per 1 m².
During the growing season, growth should be controlled by removing side shoots and lateral branches. One month before the expected end of the growing season, the top of the plant should be pruned.
To increase bush productivity and produce larger fruits, clusters are thinned. When unpromising flowers appear, they are removed, and to produce a giant fruit, only one ovary is left in the cluster.

It's important to secure the stems in advance to prevent the bush from breaking under the weight of the tomatoes. In open ground, stakes or tall trellises are installed. The stems are carefully tied several times throughout the season. It's recommended to additionally reinforce the clusters.
Large-fruited tomatoes are susceptible to late blight and other fungal infections. As a precautionary measure, crop rotation is observed for open ground, and in greenhouse conditions, preventive treatments of premises and plants are carried out.

Growing the Ural Giant requires timely application of mineral and organic fertilizers at least twice a month. Water the plant regularly, but moderately, without causing interruptions in moisture supply.
Compliance with agricultural practices allows you to increase the crop yield, pick large tomatoes from the bush, and set aside the best fruits for seed production.
