This tomato is undemanding of soil conditions, but it's best to add nutrients to ensure large, tasty fruits.

Growing the Zhorik-Obzhorik tomato is easy. It doesn't require any special care. Therefore, even a beginner can grow large, high-quality tomato plants.
General description of the variety
The manufacturer recommends growing the Zhorik-Obzhorik tomato variety outdoors, but this plant also produces fruit in greenhouses. Experts claim that tomatoes grown in open beds have better flavor and yield.
The Zhorik-Obzhorik variety exhibits good resistance to various types of fungi and pests, and thanks to its early ripening, it is resistant to late blight. This nightshade variety produces its first harvest just 95 days after germination.

A mature plant has a strong and robust root system. The trunk and branches are dense. The bush has a neat and compact appearance. Due to its small stature, it requires no additional support, staking, or pinching.
The tomato's foliage is regular, dark green, and prominently textured. The inflorescence is regular. Its first development occurs after the sixth leaflet, and then, through the next leaflet.
The fruits of the Zhorik-obzhorik variety have the following description:
- The tomatoes are round in shape, slightly flattened at the top.

- The yield of this type of tomato is high; on average, 5 to 7 kg of fruit can be harvested from 1 m² per season.
- The harvest has a long shelf life, from 2 to 4 weeks, under the right conditions. The fruits retain their marketable appearance longer in a cool, dry place.
- Tomatoes are suitable for transportation.
- Tomatoes are versatile. The first harvest is typically eaten fresh. Later, the fruits can be used to make paste, juice, lecho, or ketchup. Smaller tomatoes can be pickled or preserved whole.

The general characteristics of the Zhorik-Obzhorik variety indicate that this tomato grows well and produces a high yield in extreme weather conditions. It tolerates both drought and cold well. Reviews of its taste are excellent. The first harvest begins in early summer.
To obtain a high-quality harvest, it is necessary to follow all the rules for growing seedlings and then planting them in open beds.
How to get a rich harvest?
The Zhorik-Obzhorik variety is grown using seedlings. Seeds are sown 40-60 days before transplanting into open ground. Experts note that sowing times may vary by region.
The seeds are sown in pre-prepared, nutritious soil. Typically, the soil consists of peat and turf, but coarse river sand is often added to the mixture. The soil is placed in a special seedling container and lightly compacted. Next, dig 1.5-2 cm deep holes and sow the seeds.

Sprinkle the planting material with peat or soil and immediately water with warm water. Watering should be done using a spray bottle. Cover the seedlings immediately with plastic wrap and place them in a warm place. They will remain there until the first shoots emerge.
Afterwards, it is moved to a brighter room and the film is removed. For the first two weeks, the room temperature is maintained between 17 and 18°C, then increased to 20 and 22°C.

Seedlings are planted in open ground in the first half of May. The soil should be enriched with a complex mineral fertilizer beforehand. The seedlings are planted at a rate of 5-6 plants per 1 m². The holes must be mulched.
Further care is carried out as usual: watering, weeding and fertilizing.
