The "Sakharnye Usta" tomato from the Uralskiy Dachnik series was introduced by specialists from the Mars agricultural firm relatively recently. However, the variety quickly gained popularity among gardeners in the Siberian and Ural regions, where it was recommended for cultivation in the state register.
Properties of the Sakharnye Usta variety
The description of the Sugar Mouth tomato can be summarized as follows:
- belong to early-ripening semi-determinate varieties, reaching a height of 1.5 m;
- have high productivity;
- undemanding to the weather;
- are a universal variety for both open and closed ground;
- Small, round fruits, convenient for pickling in a jar, weigh from 80 to 100 g.
The tomatoes have a good, slightly sweet flavor. They're suitable for canning, pickling, and making tomato juice and ketchup.

Tips for planting and care
This variety's characteristics include high yields and tolerance to cloudy and cool weather. Tomatoes begin to bear fruit as early as 105 to 110 days after the first shoots emerge. The tomatoes are bright red.

The best time to sow Sakharnye Usta tomato seeds is March or early April, when you can begin preparing the nutritious soil. You can plant in a general-purpose soil mix or use special soil for tomato seedlings.
When preparing the mixture yourself, it is worth taking organic components in the form of peat, compost, humus, sand or sawdust, which are first doused with boiling water.
Seeds can also be treated before sowing. Soak them for 12 hours in a solution consisting of sodium humate (0.01%), succinic acid (0.004%), and 1 teaspoon of wood ash diluted in 1 liter of water.

There's no need to plant the seeds too deeply. 1 cm deep is sufficient. After the seedlings have produced two true leaves, after 1 or 2 weeks, transplant the tomatoes into separate 1- to 2-liter containers with large drainage holes.
It's useful to fertilize two-week-old seedlings with a humate solution or any complex fertilizer. If there's room in the pot, you can add soil after 37-40 days, which will encourage additional roots to form on the sides.
Sakharnye Usta seedlings require preparation before planting in the ground. Typically, in good weather, the plants are placed in containers outside, initially sheltered from direct sunlight in the shade.

On the 60th to 65th day, the young plants are transplanted into the soil, which is still covered with plastic in May and then completely uncovered in June. One day before transplanting, remove the bottom two or three leaves. It's helpful to loosen the bottom of the hole with peat or sawdust.
Since tomato bushes grow quite tall, they need to be tied to a support. It is better to remove the stepsons, forming a bush with 2 or 3 stems. Experienced gardeners recommend treating the bush with "Buton" when the first flowers appear. Every two weeks, tomato plants need to be fertilized with any general-purpose tomato fertilizer.

Excessive humidity is detrimental to plants, so water only when the top 15-18 cm of soil is completely dry. Only during fruit ripening can you slightly increase the amount of water. Watering will also reduce the sugar content of the fruit.
Feedback from vegetable growers indicates that 70–80% of tomatoes are harvested from the bush within a month.
