Fungal diseases cause significant damage to crops and, if not treated promptly, can lead to the loss of the entire harvest. The best way to protect trees and shrubs is prevention, carried out before the first signs of infection appear. The instructions for the fungicide "Delan" recommend using it on apple orchards and vineyards to prevent the development of fungal diseases.
Composition and existing forms of release
The only active ingredient in the contact fungicide "Delan" is dithianon, which has a preventative effect, forming a film on the surface of the plant after treatment that is not washed off by precipitation.
One kilogram of the chemical contains 700 grams of the active ingredient. The fungicide is sold as water-soluble granules, packaged in 1- and 5-kg bags. The first option is especially convenient for owners of small plots.
Purpose of the product
The instructions for use recommend using the product to prevent scab on apple trees and mildew on grapevines. Treatments are carried out at all stages of plant development. Thanks to its unique mechanism of action, pathogenic microorganisms do not develop resistance to the product. The protective film prevents spores from germinating and developing.
Pros and cons

Gardeners who use Delan on their plots have highlighted several strengths of the product.
How to prepare a working solution
In order for the product to demonstrate its effective properties, it is necessary to properly prepare the working solution, adhering to the recommended fungicide consumption rates.
Peach
Prepare a solution to prevent leaf curl and scab. Apply 500 to 700 grams of the solution per hectare of plantings. Fill a sprayer with half the amount of purified water and dissolve the fungicide granules in it, then add the remaining liquid. Use 1,000 liters of the working solution per hectare of garden.

Grape
Delan is used to prevent mildew in vineyards. Treatments are recommended before the crop begins to bloom. The recommended application rate is 500 to 700 grams of fungicide per hectare of planting, with a working fluid consumption rate of 1,000 liters per 100 square meters.
Apple
The product protects trees from scab. Plants are sprayed during the growing season. 500-700 grams of the chemical are required per hectare of garden, and the working solution required for the same area is 1,000 liters. The granules are dissolved in half the volume of water and mixed thoroughly, after which the remaining liquid is added.
Terms of Use
Do not apply more than five treatments per season. Spraying should begin in the morning or evening, when it's cool outside. Although the product is resistant to precipitation, it is not recommended to apply it during rain, as the active ingredient needs time to form a protective film on the plant's surface.

After treatment, dispose of the working solution according to safety regulations. Do not leave the granules diluted in water until the next spraying, as the solution will lose its effectiveness.
Toxicity level and safety precautions when working
The fungicide is slightly toxic to humans, insects, and warm-blooded animals. However, Delan is hazardous to fish, so any remaining working solution should never be poured into water bodies.
Possible compatibility
Delan can be used in tank mixes with other fungicides. It should not be used with oil-containing products.
Storage conditions and shelf life
Store the fungicide in a utility room where the temperature does not exceed 28 degrees Celsius and out of direct sunlight. If these instructions are followed, the product's shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture.
Analogues
Delan can be replaced with drugs such as Ventop, Delavit and Tersel.
