The most common disease affecting potato crops is late blight. Millions of farmers suffer losses every year. The easiest way to get rid of this scourge is with the Infinito field irrigation solution. Below are instructions for using the Infinito fungicide. Following the correct dosage will increase yields and protect potatoes from microscopic fungi.
Composition and existing forms of release
The product contains the potent ingredients fluopicolide and propamocarb hydrochloride. It is available as a suspension. The commercial form is a five-liter bottle of concentrated solution. To use, dilute the fungicide with clean water to the required concentration.
Spectrum of action
The product is effective against all types of late blight pathogens. Its mechanism of action is aimed at destroying the zoospores of the microscopic fungus, preventing the pathogen from reproducing and developing on the crop plant.
Fluopicolide quickly penetrates plant tissues and cells, eliminating the slightest chance of survival for the late blight pathogen. It is highly selective, so it does not affect the plant's vegetative or protein systems.
Pros and cons of the drug
Like other fungicides, Infinito has many pros and cons.

How long does the protective effect last?
The effect lasts for 7-14 days after application, so during the potato growing season, fields will need to be treated at least 3-4 times. Over-treatment is not recommended, as overdosing on the fungicide can negatively impact soil fertility.
How quickly does the product work?
The first effect will be noticeable within a few days of using the product. The emergence of affected plants in the treated field is virtually impossible. As a rule, the product is ineffective if irrigation techniques and the use of agricultural machinery are not followed.

Rules for preparing a working solution
To prepare the solution, dilute 25 ml of concentrated solution with 2 liters of clean water in the sprinkler tank, mix thoroughly, and then top up to 5 liters. For easy measuring, a measuring cup is included with the fungicide bottle.
It is advisable to alternate the fungicide with another product every year, since fungi develop resistance to the same product.
Instructions for use and consumption calculation
The application rate for one hectare of field is up to 1.5 liters. The working solution is applied at a rate of 400 liters per hectare. The first preventative spraying is carried out during the growing season, then repeated every 14 days. Sometimes, the fungicide can be used not only against late blight but also against downy mildew of cucumbers and onions. The application rate of the concentrated and working solution remains the same. Using high-quality sprayers will significantly facilitate field treatment. The liquid should be applied to the leaves and stems of the plant, not the ground.

Security measures
The fungicide can be hazardous in high doses and if ingested. Therefore, when using it, workers must wear gloves, protective goggles, and respirators. Waterproof work clothing is recommended. If it comes into contact with mucous membranes, rinse the affected area immediately with water and seek medical attention. Livestock grazing is prohibited in fields treated with the fungicide.
The degree of phytotoxicity of the fungicide
The fungicide is safe for use in fields planted with forage and food crops. The crop will not harm people or animals, and any fungicide residue is easily metabolized naturally and does not harm the field's ecosystem. Within a year of application, the field regains its protective properties. Unlike other fungicides, it does not contain mancozeb, a highly toxic substance containing zinc and manganese.

Possible compatibility with other drugs and how dangerous is it?
The fungicide has no direct contraindications for use with other products, but it is recommended to conduct compatibility tests in chemical laboratories before use. The maximum number of treatments per hectare per season is four. Treatment begins during flowering and ends with the appearance of the first fruits. The product is safe when used correctly and according to the instructions.
Storage rules
The product should only be stored in its original container as a concentrated solution. The working solution should be used immediately, and any leftovers should be disposed of safely. The maximum shelf life is 3 years.
The product should always be stored in a cool, dark place, away from sunlight. Moisture negatively affects the chemical properties of the product. Food products should not be stored in the same room as the fungicide.
Analogues
Magnicur is a virtually identical alternative to Infinito against potato late blight. It contains fluopicolide and can be used for both preventative and curative purposes.
