Peronosporid fungi are among the most common and harmful pathogens of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, potatoes, and grapes. Late blight, downy mildew, and mildew have a detrimental effect on plants, reducing their growth and fruiting. The use of Cuprolux, a contact-systemic fungicide, can stop infestations within 24-48 hours of application.
What is included in the composition and dosage form
"Kuprolux" is a new fungicide containing copper oxychloride and cemoxanil. "Kuprolux" is available as a powder package weighing 6.5 grams/12.5 grams.
Mechanism of action and spectrum of action
Copper oxychloride destroys fungal spores, while cemoxanil slows the division and growth of pathogenic cells. The product is available as a powder that is diluted in water to create a working solution. Based on its effect on pathogenic infections, Cuprolux is classified as a contact-systemic formulation.
When the surface of leaves and stems is wetted with the prepared solution, copper chlorooxide kills the outer part of the fungus, while cemoxanil is absorbed into the leaf pulp and affects the fungus at the cellular level.

According to the instructions, one package is enough to treat 25/50 square meters of planting area:
- potatoes;
- Luke;
- tomatoes;
- cucumbers;
- grapes.
To enhance the fungicide's effectiveness, preventative treatment of seedlings, transplants, and mature plants is recommended. Subsequent treatments are repeated at the first signs of fungal infection.

Calculation of consumption
The working solution is prepared depending on the pathogenic effect and the type of affected plant.
| Name of the plant |
Disease |
Working solution g/l of water |
Consumption rate l/100 m2 |
| potato | late blight | 25/5 | 5 |
| tomatoes | late blight | 50/10 | 5 |
|
cucumbers |
downy mildew |
25/10 |
5 |
|
onion |
downy mildew |
25/5 |

| grape | mildew | 30/10 | 10 |
The prepared solution cannot be stored; it is used on the day of preparation.

Terms of Use
Spray plants in dry, windless weather. The powder dissolves poorly in water. For better dissolution, pour the selected amount of "Kuprolux" into a container with a small amount of water and mix with a mixer.
Pour half the volume of water into the spray bottle and add the resulting suspension. After vigorously stirring for 10 minutes, bring the volume of water in the spray bottle up to the working level and stir for another 5 minutes.

The effectiveness of the drug depends on the time of the first spraying:
- for tomatoes and cucumbers - before the buds open;
- onions - during the period of feather growth;
- potatoes - until the tops close in the rows;
- for grapes - until the flower buds swell.
Spraying frequency: 4 times every 10-12 days. The wetting effect lasts 7-10 days in the absence of rain.
Overdosing on the compound will cause leaf burn due to the high copper content. Furthermore, copper oxychloride will accumulate in the soil, reducing its fertility.

Precautionary rules
When preparing the working solution, protect your respiratory system with a medical mask and your hands with rubber gloves. Clothing should have long sleeves. Containers used to dissolve the fungicide are not suitable for food or drinking water. Do not use galvanized or glass containers when preparing the working solution.
Gardening and vegetable gardening resume three days after fungicide treatment. Tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions are ready to eat after 20 days, and grapes are ready to eat after one month.

What to do in case of poisoning
If Cuprolux comes into contact with skin, wash the affected area with warm, soapy water. If the solution gets into your eyes, rinse them with cooled, boiled water using a pipette. Working without a mask can cause poisoning due to inhalation of vapors. Remove the affected person to fresh air. Accidental ingestion of the working solution can cause severe poisoning.
Symptoms of copper-containing product entering the stomach:
- metallic taste in the mouth;
- nausea;
- vomit;
- salivation;
- cramping pains in the abdomen.
The vomit is blue-green. The only treatment is gastric lavage with boiled and cooled water.

Is compatibility possible?
Gardeners and vegetable growers often use tank mixes of two or three fungicides and insecticides to control multiple infections and pests simultaneously during treatment. It's crucial to ensure the compatibility of the chemicals. Otherwise, an undesirable chemical reaction will occur, harmful to the plants.

How and how long to store
Cuprolux packaging should be stored out of the reach of children and animals, away from food and drinking water. The recommended temperature range is -30 to +40°C. The shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
Substitutes
Rotating the products helps prevent soil contamination. Instead of Cuprolux, you can use fungicides without copper oxychloride, but containing cymoxanal in combination with other chemicals.
To combat late blight and mildew, you can use Nautilus, Ordan, Thanos, and Ridomil Gold. Ordan and Ridomil Gold are effective against downy mildew.
