Instructions for use of the fungicide Metamil MC, application rates and analogues

The widespread use of fungicides in agriculture is essential for protecting crops from dangerous fungal diseases. Let's look at the composition, formulation, and purpose of the fungicide "Metamyl MC," as well as its effects on plants and pathogens. We'll also discuss the dosage and application rate, as well as the rules for using the product in agriculture and on private plots. We'll also discuss storage instructions and alternatives.

What is included in the composition, mechanism of action and dosage form

The fungicide manufacturer, Shchelkovo Agrokhim CJSC, produces it as water-dispersible granules in 5 kg packages. It is a contact and systemic pesticide with a protective effect. It contains two active ingredients: mancozeb at a concentration of 640 g per kg and metalaxyl at a concentration of 80 g per kg.

Metamyl MC destroys fungal spores, preventing plant infections and acting on pathogens even after infection. It destroys fungi in spore form. Mancozeb acts on the surface of leaves and stems, while metalaxyl penetrates tissue and spreads throughout the plant, including new growth.
